Full Court Press:

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Spread:

Vegas Total:

Pace: Cha +1.4

Starting with Minnesota, Karl-Anthony Towns is way too cheap on Draftkings, and playable on Fanduel given the matchup. In an earlier matchup versus the Hornets, Towns scored 73 Draftkings points. The Hornets rank 20th in defense against opposing centers, I love this spot for him. Andrew Wiggins is coming off a nice game his last time out, he scored 40 fantasy points and only shot 1-8 from three. The Hornets rank 23rd in defense against opposing small forwards on the season. Other than those two I don’t have a ton of interest from this team. Tyus Jones is playable with Rose and Teague still out, but his price has come up to where you don’t need to force him in. From the Hornets, Nicolas Batum stands out as a nice play. The Timberwolves rank 29th in defense against opposing shooting guards. Kemba Walker is coming off a few bad games and normally tends to play streaky, but he feels really underpriced here. Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky are fine plays, but nobody I’m prioritizing against Karl-Anthony Towns. Jeremy Lamb is worth a flier in GPPs.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Kemba Walker

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Tyus Jones, Nicolas Batum, Marvin Williams, Frank Kaminsky

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Bismack Biyombo

GPP Sleeper: Jeremy Lamb

Denver Nuggets @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Spread: 228.5

Vegas Total: Den -7.5

Pace: Den +3.6

Starting with the Nuggets, Paul Millsap draws the best matchup, as the Wizards rank dead last in defense against opposing power forwards. Nikola Jokic should be able to dominate here, the Wizards just don’t have anyone big enough to cover him. Jamal Murray gets a very nice matchup here as well, the Wizards have struggled against point guards ever since John Wall went down earlier this season. From the Wizards, Bradley Beal was able to bounce back last game out. It feels like he is almost a lock for 45-50 fantasy points on any given night. He’s a safe cash game play here. Trevor Ariza feels too cheap, especially on Draftkings. I like playing Tomas Satoransky because he fills up the stat sheet nicely and isn’t scoring dependant, he’s in play here as well. From a GPP standpoint, Jabari Parker and Bobby Portis feel like the best bets, but don’t play them in the same lineup, as they will cut into each other’s usage.

5-star play: Paul Millsap, Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Trevor Ariza, Tomas Satoransky

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Jabari Parker, Bobby Portis

Utah Jazz @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Spread: 227.0

Vegas Total: Utah -7.5

Pace: Utah +3.8

Starting with the Jazz, Ricky Rubio stands out as a nice play. The Hawks rank 26th in defense against opposing point guards on the season. In one game against the Hawks this season, Rubio scored 44.5 Draftkings points. This is a pace up game for the Jazz, so I don’t mind attacking Donovan Mitchell in hopes that he can get a few extra looks. Rudy Gobert should have no problem doing whatever he wants here, he scored 46.8 Draftkings points in their earlier game this season. He’s priced up, but the Hawks are 29th in the league against opposing centers. Derrick Favors, Kyle Korver, and Jae Crowder are decent GPP options given the matchup. From the Hawks, Trae Young put up nearly 50 fantasy points in their previous matchup and has gone over 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games. John Collins is a little too expensive for me given the tough matchup with Favors and Gobert. Dewayne Dedmon put up a nice 35 point fantasy game against this team last time, he’s cheap enough where we can target him. DeAndre Bembry, Taurean Prince, and Kevin Huerter all make for decent value plays if you should land on them.

5-star play: Ricky Rubio, Rudy Gobert, Trae Young

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Dewayne Dedmon

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: DeAndre Bembry, Taurean Prince, Kevin Huerter

GPP Sleeper: Derrick Favors, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder

Detroit Pistons @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Spread: 218.5

Vegas Total: Det -7.0

Pace: Det +2.8

From the Pistons, Luke Kennard’s price has come way down, but that is due to his inconsistent play. However, in a matchup against the Suns, he is a playable value play in GPP. As always, the real targets here are Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin. I would prefer Drummond on Draftkings and Blake on Fanduel just due to price discrepancies. Other than those three, I don’t have much interest in this team. From the Suns, the Research Station likes Josh Jackson, Mikal Bridges, and Jamal Crawford quite a bit.

My favorite of the three would be Josh Jackson, as he has seen two straight games of over 30 minutes. Bridges sees a ton of minutes but doesn’t tend to do much with them. Jamal Crawford is close to the stone minimum, but I’m still in wait and see mode with him. DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker are the other targets on this team, I’m not prioritizing either of them, but they’re solid.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin, Josh Jackson

4-star play: Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: Luke Kennard

GPP Sleeper: Luke Kennard

Dallas Mavericks @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Spread: 229.0

Vegas Total: Sac -8.5

Pace: Dal +4.7

Starting with the Mavericks, Jalen Brunson draws the best matchup, as the Kings rank dead last in the league against opposing combo guards. He’s not someone I’m actively targeting, but he’s certainly playable. The Kings rank 27th in defense against opposing power forwards which puts Dwight Powell in play. Powell has cooled off a bit of the past two weeks, but he’s still worth a shot. Luka Doncic is a walking triple-double, I’ll never talk you off of playing him. De’Aaron Fox is one of my favorite plays on the slate, people will see that the Mavs rank first in defense against opposing point guards. However, they have been getting destroyed by them as of late. The Research Station has Fox projected for 6x, and I agree with it on this one. Marvin Bagley’s minutes are trending upward if he can crack 30 minutes here he should make for a nice play. Buddy Hield is a nice GPP play and a borderline cash game play. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Harrison Barnes are on the outside looking in but still playable if you land on them.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, De’Aaron Fox

4-star play: Dwight Powell, Jalen Brunson, Marvin Bagley, Buddy Hield

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Bogdan Bogdanovic, Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield

Indiana Pacers @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Spread: 220.5

Vegas Total: GS -11.0

Pace: Ind +2.9

We end the slate with my least favorite game. The Pacers will have trouble keeping this game close. If I had to play someone from this team I would take Myles Turner, he is athletic enough to bang down low with Cousins and Green. Darren Collison and Bojan Bogdanovic are GPP plays at best. From the Warriors, DeMarcus Cousins is way too cheap on Draftkings and should be one of the first players into your lineup. As for the other stars, neither Curry of Durant draw great matchups and depicting who will have a good game between the two is never easy. If you want to get exposure to them, play whichever one fits your lineup better. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are cheaper ways to get exposure to this high flying team, I don’t mind playing either of them.

5-star play: DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry

4-star play: Myles Turner, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson

Deeper Value/FD Drop Candidate: None

GPP Sleeper: Darren Collison, Bojan Bogdanovic
