Brighton v Southampton

This matchup features 2 teams in the shadow of the relegation zone. Southampton is in 16th and only 2 points clear. Brighton is in 15th and only 5 points clear. That number is a little misleading, as Brighton has played the least number of matches in the Premier League. Given what they have left to play, I do not expect them to end up that far down the table. Both teams need this match and should push hard. I like the home side to get the job done, though. I think Draftkings has it right in pricing Anthony Knockaert at 7300. He stands tall in the recent world of crosses and chances created. I think he is playable in any format, certainly on Fanduel where he comes with a sweet price tag of 6500. Those playing around him are in play in gpp. I do not mind pairing him with Glenn Murray in cash. Southampton’s defense is nothing to write home about but their center backs are in play in gpp on Fanduel. I think this could be one of the better matches of the day.

Burnley v Wolverhampton

This is an interesting one. Burnley plays well at home and Wolves play well on the road. Not only do they play well on the road but Wolves like to play from the back. This could create a sort of ping pong type game, I think. Back and forth they’ll go. Overall, I will side with the Wolves on the road. My favorite plays for the visiting side include Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio. Both are good gpp plays. For the home side, I like Charlie Taylor in cash. The Burnley forwards are contrarian gpp plays for me.

Crystal Palace v Huddersfield

Huddersfield has nothing to play for except pride. It’s a little hard to do that on the road when you aren’t good to begin with. Crystal Palace is in a solid spot at home. My cash lineups will start with Wayne Hennessey between the sticks. I expect Huddersfield to pack it in and try to keep this low scoring as best they can. On Fanduel, Hennessey is 4000! Huddersfield center backs are pretty good cash plays.

Leicester v Bournemouth

This is one of those matchups that looks like it would shoot out but these teams typically play low scoring games. I will just lock James Maddison in my cash lineups and move on. Beyond him, there are viable gpp options. There isn’t much else to say about this one. The home team generally holds a little more possession so I am not too keen on using Ryan Fraser in cash but he has a floor and he is viable in gpp.

Manchester United v Watford

Chalk Alert! The Red Devils are the only big 6 club on the slate which means their footballers will carry a lot of ownership. My cash plays are Marcus Rashford or Paul Pogba. I like using Pogba in cash on DK and Rashford on either site. He is at home and against a team that will look to counter. That means he should get the chance to have the ball at his feet quite a bit and we know he loves to shoot. Overall, I actually like Watford pieces and, while I can’t use them in cash, I will have them in gpp a good bit. Watford is a gritty team on the road that loves to hit the counter and just won’t go away.

West Ham v Everton

I do not expect that anyone from this match will end up in my cash lineups unless it is a defender, and that is a pretty weak maybe. If you are looking for a gpp hammer play, you can give this match a shot. Per usual, my picks from this game will be revealed in our coaching channel and will only be for VIPs.
