Cardiff v West Ham

This match should have a high watchability factor. Cardiff hasn’t won since February 9th and hasn’t won at home since February 2nd. They are faced with an opportunity that they can’t pass up. They are 2 points from moving out of a relegation spot and they get a team in West Ham that has a -7 goal differential on the road. The team just ahead of them is playing Tottenham. Cardiff will likely look to push while West Ham will probably look to do the same. There should be plenty of peripherals, as Cardiff isn’t a shining example of what it means to hold possession. Given that Cardiff has held possessions of 32 and 34 percent in their last 2 home games en route to giving up 8 goals, I like Chicharito in gpp and also in Fanduel cash games if you want to save a little at forward. Of those 8 goals, 6 were scored by forwards.

Huddersfield v Bournemouth

What is the opposite of results? This is a serious question because that is the only thing that both teams are succeeding in doing right now. Neither team is in good form. Both teams have only scored 2 goals in their last 5 matches. I lean towards Bournemouth getting the better end of the match but it is hard to trust either team in any capacity. Outside of a GPP one-off, I am largely going elsewhere.

Leicester v Fulham

In the blue corner, we have a team that has created 46 chances in the last 3 weeks. In the white corner, a team that has conceded 44 chances over that same span. Leicester is in a prime spot and they looked great last week. Now they have a new manager with a fantastic track record of getting results quickly to go along with their quality. The good news for Fulham is they can’t drop from 19th to 20th. The bad news is they have a big hill to climb to get out of the relegation zone. I like Leicester to get the job done at home and I will be looking to get a piece of their offense in my cash games. Sticking with the aforementioned 3-week snapshot, James Maddison shows that he should be the first name I drop in my cash lineups. He is first in chances created and 3rd in crosses. He is also 3rd in shots taken.

Hey! Don’t sleep on our Beat The Bookie service over at the DFS Army. With the supreme court ruling that sports betting is legal, the DFS Army has launched its “Beat the Bookie” site. This is where we have handicappers teaching members how to make bets as well as sharing their proven models. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at sports betting, it’s better to do it with the help of winners in your ear. We have teamed up with the site MyBookie. If you are a new user and deposit at least $50, you will get a free month of the DFS Army Beat the Bookie service.

Newcastle v Everton

This looks like an exciting back and forth match with peripherals on the horizon. Newcastle has generated 51 chances created in their last 3 matches. Everton has conceded 12. You might think the possession numbers would be overwhelmingly in Newcastle’s favor but they typically end up a few points north of 50%. On Fanduel, I would look into Michael Keane for my lineups. He has been very productive on the ground (top 10 on the slate for interceptions) and he is solid in the air. He will have to be if he is to defend Salomon Rondon. Everton holds a lot of possession, too, so there are gpp plays for the home side to keep in mind.

Southampton v Tottenham

This is more of a GPP game. Both teams have been creating plenty of chances but a Tottenham team that is getting on the right track is one to watch. They are getting back on the right track and it will be a tough-nosed game. Southampton needs to accumulate as many points as they can over the remainder of the season. Tottenham is in a similar boat. The difference with them is they are near the top of the table with teams who win. I expect Tottenham to bring the pressure and I expect Southampton to not be caught off guard. This game feels like it will play to the under.

Manchester City v Watford

I quite enjoy City as the hammer match. I feel like it leads to different lineup constructions than the “let me jam 3-4 city players and see what else I can fit from other teams” method. Watford is typically a better road squad but City is reinvigorated being back on top of the table. In the last 3 weeks, City has conceded 2 chances created. Basically, what that means is goals are not coming easily. Per usual, my picks from this game will be revealed in our coaching channel and will only be for VIPs.

That’s the game breakdown for this week. Remember, this is a top-level view and things can change. Of course, you know about the most important hour in the soccer DFS world. We will always have free content but the good stuff is saved for the ones who are willing to go the extra step. If you have any questions, hit me up in the coaching channels or find me on twitter @TreyJ989..We will stand with you if you stand with us. Good luck this week!
