Friedman’s Fighting Five – Monkey Knife Fight Plays for March 11, 2019

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s Fighting Five, where I will include 5 of my favorite plays from the new Prop site and DFS Army Partner Monkey Knife Fight, using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  NBA WOWY, and other sources. I will also offer slate commentary based on DraftKings and DK pricing.   Some days, when there is a smaller slate, there will be fewer picks.  I will generally list them in order of personal preference. My research is focused around DK and the DK Research station, so keep that in mind. Players may be viable to varying degrees at the other sites as well. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

Join me in my brand new coaching channel, #afriedman15-nba-cfb or #monkey-knife-fight

In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:

DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game

DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

Sacramento Kings at Washington Wizards
Vegas SAC +1
Total 240

The Kings head to our nation’s capital in the highest game total of the night. Any time Bradley Beal steps on the court, he is capable of 30 real points, so I like the over for Beal. Fox has a great matchup here. Washington is 22 in aDvP vs. Point Guards and he is our highest projected player from the Kings. Fox is averaging 7.2 APG and this is a plus matchup, so I like the over for him too. For Hield, while I do like him in DFS, four 3PM is doable (you could go either side), but my gut says the under here. Meanwhile Bjelica and Cauley-Stein I like the over based on the minutes they have been playing.

  • DeAaron Fox over 7.5 AST to MAX 8.5 AST
  • Bobby Portis over 8.5 REB to MAX 10.5 REB
  • Buddy Hield under 3.5 3PM (min level, could also go over)
  • Bradley Beal over 27.5 PTS to MAX 29.5 PTS
  • Willy Cauley Stein and Nemanja Bjelica over 1.5 STL + BLK to 2.5 STL +BLK

Detroit Pistons at Brooklyn Nets
Vegas BKN -2.5
Total 222.5

I like Blake a lot here tonight and he has 27+ in 3 of his last four games. I do like Andre Drummond as well, but he has only been at 4+ steals and blocks twice in his past sixth game. Drummond has been playing out of his mind so I don’t hate the over, if you feel like playing that side.  For the Nets, D’Angelo Russell has only one double-digit assist performance since February 13th and Allen Crabbe last hit three three-pointers on February 21st, eight game ago.

  • Blake Griffin over 24.5 PTS to MAX 26.5
  • D’Angelo Russell under 8.5 AST to MIN 7.5 AST
  • Andre Drummond under 3.5 STL + BLK (min level, can also go over)
  • Allen Crabbe under 2.5 3PM (min level)

Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Clippers
Vegas LAC -2.0
Total 227

In what should be a fun hammer game, Boston heads to the Staples Center to close out the night. Kyrie Irving is a top five projected play and ranked #2 in the DFS Army Domination Station’s And1 Rating. Lou Williams put up a 60 burger on Friday, yet only finished with 5 assists. He has 6,6, and 7 assists in his last three meetings with the Celtics, so I am willing to take a chance on the over here with Sweet Lou. Meanwhile, Al Horford should be a decent DFS play, but he is not hitting three combined steals and blocks very often, just twice in his last nine games.

  • Kyrie Irving over 25.5 PTS to MAX 27.5 PTS
  • Lou Williams over 5.5 AST (max level)
  • Al Horford under 2.5 STL + BLK (min level)
