Donuts to Dollars NBA Daily Fantasy Picks and Winning Advice 3-18

Donuts to Dollars

The modus operandi of the majority of my Daily Fantasy NBA articles, videos, and podcasts is to deliver compelling evidence through analytics, trends, and useful data as to why a player or team is an ideal target to invest in. In this daily column, I will point out the top value plays based on my personal DFS model and projections.

Need a demonstration on how to use my player pool that I put on our website and the Donuts to Dollars NBA Model. Give this tutorial a watch and get out your note pad and pen!  I give away my personal player pool 6 days per week and discuss the slate with our members in chat. Hope to see you join and kick some butt over there with me. Promo DONUTS gives you 20% off forever!

I had a dream Friday night (3/15) where I grabbed four of the top five places in the standings!

This is the last two months on FantasyDraft and my history!

Here are a handful of members who have started using the Donuts to Dollars NBA DFS Model on the DFS Army website. They’ve won the $1, $5, and $25 several times. I share my entire personal pool, exposure, model ratings, and game notes. Just follow along and ride the wins and losses with me!

A few extremely happy members with huge personal success trying out my NBA Model on FantasyDraft this weekend!

My Personal NBA Model for FantasyDraft

There are a few players drastically underpriced for their potential scoring ceilings at their price points. Fred VanVleet is one of those players that seems about $3,000 too cheap and is close to an absolute lock (yes, I use that word and don’t adhere to stupid industry rules). He is averaging 0.87 FantasyDraft points per minute this season and should play around 30-32 minutes with the smaller rotation the Raptors should have. I expect that to be his baseline against the lowly Knicks.

With Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard both likely out, Pascal Siakam is going to play a ton and that’s a good thing for Daily Fantasy. Siakam has been a beast this season when the rotation has shrunk and specifically when Leonard is out. His 0.99 fantasy points per minute rockets upward with Kawhi off the court. My model has him in both the top-10 for overall rating and value.

Luka Doncic is set to absolutely explode against the weak and feeble New Orleans Pelicans. He is averaging 1.48 points per minute and the NBA’s rookie of the year (I am guessing) should absolutely dismantle the Pelicans. When targeting people on FantasyDraft, I try to pick player that I think have a good chance at exceeding 3x their salary indicator. At $16,000, we’d need 48.00 points for that to occur. With a 33 minute projection and in a pace-up matchup, I have him clearing that with ease in my personal model.

With Russell Westbrook suspended for Monday’s game, Paul George is close to a lock for me. That’s the second time I have used that term in this article. While his price tag isn’t super cheap, it does have gobs of potential baked into this delicious apple fritter. Okay, that was lame. But I have to stay #OnBrand. His shot is falling again and his shoulder finally seems healthy. He has scored 52.75 and 55.50 FantasyDraft points in back to back games, finishing with a 33.1% and 39.9% usage rate in both. Plug and play, baby!

Dennis Schroder is in an elite spot as he’ll likely get a healthy boost in minutes and usage rate with Westy off the court. At just $10,300, the German point guard is in an elite spot to return 4-5x value with a floor that is around 2.5x on a bad day. He is third on the team in usage (25.5%) and averages 0.95 fantasy points per minute. My core is going to be deep today.

Devin Booker is one of the streakier players in the NBA and whenever he is hot he makes for a strong Daily Fantasy option. Right now he is blazing from the field. He has had a usage rate over 33.8% in six straight gamems and has scored 59.75, 35.50, 67.50, 42.00, 43.75, and 67.25 FantasyDraft points. He has an elite ceiling that should be priced at 18-19k when he’s on fire like this. Booker, similar to Doncic, is just way underpriced.

Cheick Diallo isn’t popping at all in my model today but this is where algorithm’s can fail you. The coach spoke the other day about playing time and said Diallo is going to get more run here towards the end of the season. He ended up playing 26 minutes last game after that message hit the Twittersphere. Diallo returned 30.00 FantasyDraft points and had a double-double. He’s averaging 1.28 fantasy points per minute and is a strong tournament option on Monday night.
