DFS NBA Lineup Strategies – Blande’s 6th Man – Winning Fanduel Advice March 18th

Hi there! I’m Glen but I go by Blande and you can find me on twitter as @DfsBlande. I’m a contributor and coach over here at the DFS Army.

Welcome to another edition of 6th Men on this nine-game slate. We finally have a large-sized slate to deal with and a much richer bench accompanying it. There are some solid options off the bench today who could very well be in winning lineups. Let’s get a look at some of the good options available.

CORE PLAYS

PG – Goran Dragic ($4,300): Dragic is finally getting his legs under him, playing 27 minutes last game. With the injuries, he should see a similar number of minutes tonight if not more. The matchup against the Thunder is a good one for him, making him a good core play tonight.

SG – Dwyane Wade ($5,400): With the injuries, the Heat are dealing with, Wade will play some solid minutes off the bench. At his price, and given his floor and ceiling, he makes for an excellent play in a great matchup. SGs have had tremendous success against the Thunder. He is a core play tonight.

SF – Jae Crowder ($5,300): This is not a sexy play, but there isn’t much going on at the SF position. Crowder gets a phenomenal matchup against the Wizards tonight, and given his recent form, is in line for a solid game. He’s a nice hybrid option tonight.

PF – Domantas Sabonis ($6,200): Sabonis is on fire, and he gets a nice matchup here against the Blazers. This will be a hard-fought battle and Sabonis is in play here in all formats given the minutes he has been playing recently.

GPP PLAYS

PG – Fred VanVleet ($4,600): VanVleet returned and played 31 minutes yesterday. If he is good to go, he makes for a fine play here tonight at his price. This is bolstered by the fact that Kawhi Leonard is out. The matchup is a juicy one against the defense-allergic Knicks. He’s a GPP target here.

SG – Monte Morris ($4,300): Morris has been disappointing the past 2 games, but he is still getting 25-30 minutes a game here. These minutes combined with his price and upside, make him an excellent drop-score candidate tonight.

SF – Norman Powell ($4,000): No Kawhi opens the door for Powell. He has played really well the last few times Kawhi was out. The matchup against the Knicks is an excellent one, and at just 4k, he makes for a good drop-score candidate.

PF – Maxi Kleber ($5,200): Kleber has been playing heavy minutes recent: 30, 33, 29, and 25 minutes in his last four games. He has put up 28+ FPs in three of these games. Tonight, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Pelicans and is in line for a good game. His price is a little bit high, but he has good upside in this matchup, making him a nice GPP option.

These are your 6th Men of the day. Good luck out there Army!
