DFS College Basketball Notes For Draftkings and Fanduel 3/26/2019

Good morning/afternoon to you beautiful people out there in DFS land!  You have managed to find yourself in a great spot here at DFS Army.  I look forward to providing you with analysis and picks throughout this 2019 Tournament Season!  Remember, if I mention a player as a cash game play they most likely are OK for GPP play.  Let’s take a look at what games are on the slate for DraftKings.  The KenPom score projections are in parenthesis.

Wichita St (67) vs Indiana (74)
Creighton (74) vs TCU (79)

College basketball hasn’t been back that long, and we have the coaches teaching!  Save yourself time and energy by letting us do the work.  And, if you want to see a real track record of success, stop by our Wall of Wins page to see what we’ve done in NFL, NBA, and MLB recently.  We aren’t one-trick-ponies at DFS Army, and we are dedicated to sharing our knowledge with you to help you improve your game.

WICHITA ST vs INDIANA

I am a bit surprised to see Wichita St still alive in the NIT.  They are a young team and this extra time is extremely valuable to them.  Most of Wichita St falls into the GPP category as McDuffie, Haynes-Jones, Dennis, Burton, and Midtgaard have shown solid upside.  Echenique is one that I think can be used in all formats, even with his high foul rate.  If you think that Echenique deals with foul trouble, then I would definitely have a lot of exposure to Midtgaard.

Langford is still receiving treatment for a back issue and at this point, I would consider him closer to doubtful.  Without him, Green has stepped into the starting lineup and has played pretty well being paired with Phinisee.  Both guys are very strong plays in this one.  Morgan could be an elite play, especially if he gets Echenique into foul trouble.  Davis and J.Smith are extremely up and down but need to be considered for our GPP lineups.  Durham is a GPP dart because of how Wichita St can be beaten by the 3.

Preferred Plays:  Dennis, Echenique, Midtgaard, Morgan, Green, Phinisee

CREIGHTON vs TCU

Krampelj is probably my top play on the night as TCU allows over 55% of its points against to come from the 2.  Alexander and Ballock have been playing pretty well and can be used in all formats, while Zegarowski and Mintz can be used as GPP plays.  Bishop is going to see an increase in ownership but I worry about chasing his recent game.  In that game, Krampelj dealt with foul trouble which raised Bishop’s minutes considerably.

My preferred plays for TCU are Bane and Miller as both have been playing pretty well.  Robinson can be used in all formats while Noi, Samuel, and Davis can be used as GPP plays.  Noi has been struggling of late but could bust out against a team that gives up a lot of 3’s.  This game is going to be far more popular than the first one so we have to make sure we nail our combinations.  Bane and Noi are such high usage players that I generally find it hard to play them together as they eat into each other’s stat lines.

Preferred Plays:  Krampelj, Alexander, Zegarowski, Bane, Miller, Noi

CREIGHTON vs TCU SHOWDOWN THOUGHTS

Looking at how the salaries breakdown for this showdown, I think that the past way to attack it is with a second tier player as the captain so you open up enough salary.  If you put in Bane or Krampelj, you have to guess correctly and almost have to use Mintz, Zegarowski, and Samuel together to make things work.  With that said, I certainly will make a lineup with each of them as Captain in case they go off.  I like the idea of using Miller or Samuel as Captain which should allow a nice combination of Bane, Alexander, Krampelj
