Good morning to you beautiful people out there in DFS land!  You have managed to find yourself in a great spot here at DFS Army.  I look forward to providing you with analysis and picks throughout this 2018-2019 CBB season!  Remember, if I mention a player as a cash game play they most likely are OK for GPP play.  Let’s take a look at what games are on the slate for DraftKings and Fanduel.  The KenPom score projections are in parenthesis.

South Carolina (68) vs Missouri (71)
Texas Tech (68) vs TCU (64)
Miami (65) vs Duke (86)
Mississippi St (72) vs Auburn (76)
UCF (62) vs Houston (70)
Rutgers (69) vs Iowa (78)
UNC (76) vs Clemson (71)
Vanderbilt (65) vs Texas AM (72)
Utah (71) vs Colorado (77)
Seton Hall (76) vs Georgetown (78)

College basketball hasn’t been back that long, and we have the coaches teaching!  Save yourself time and energy by letting us do the work.  And, if you want to see a real track record of success, stop by our Wall of Wins page to see what we’ve done in NFL, NBA, and MLB recently.  We aren’t one-trick-ponies at DFS Army, and we are dedicated to sharing our knowledge with you to help you improve your game.

SOUTH CAROLINA vs MISSOURI

South Carolina is limping badly and Coach Martin has come out and said that they are basically running with 6.5 scholarship players.  You have to consider using a couple of SC guys in cash and using about 5 of them in your GPP lineups, even in a not so plus match-up.  Silva is my favorite play, even though he is much better at home.  Campbell and Gravett should be locked into basically 40 minutes while Bryant and Kotsar should see a usage bump without Lawson.

Missouri is still a train wreck and it makes it really tough to figure out where to do.  I think the best place to look to get exposure if you want to is the guard trio of Geist, Pickett, and Watson.  I think Watson is probably a near lock at just $3300 on DK.  The rest of the team just doesn’t excite me, even with the loss of Mark Smith.

Preferred Plays:  Silva, Campbell, Gravett, T.Watson

TEXAS TECH vs TCU

Texas Tech is full of guys who seem to be pretty cash safe on this slate with very little real GPP upside.  I am 100% fine with using Culver, Mooney, Moretti or Owens in cash.  Generally, I prefer Moretti as my cash exposure to TT.  I think Culver is a near lock for around 35 fantasy points in this game.

TCU basically runs a 7 man rotation at this point in the season so we have to consider them in what is a very difficult match-up.  I think that the best option on TCU is Noi in this one as he is making shots and grabbing boards right now.  I will fade Robinson as I don’t really think this is the opponent for him.  Either Miller or Samuel will have a nice game and if I had to choose it would be Miller.  Nembhard seems to have passed K.Davis and is in play as a GPP punt play.

Preferred Plays:  Culver, Moretti, Noi

MIAMI vs DUKE

Miami is going to get waxed in this match-up.  Lykes draws a ridiculously tough individual match-up as T.Jones defense is legit.  Johnson seems like he is going to struggle with the size of Duke.  I could see Lawrence II or Izundu surprising a bit, but I think they get swallowed up on the defensive end and that ends up forcing them to struggle on offense.  Vasiljevic is somebody that I could see as a GPP dart if he gets hot from 3.

For Duke, I think its all about Barrett and Reddish in this game.  They both probably take 20-25 shots and really go off at home.  Tre Jones is too expensive and is very limited on offense.  I think Bolden, Delaurier, and O’Connell are GPP plays in a spot that will have everybody on Barrett and Reddish.  O’Connell sees a price drop after disappointing, maybe it’s a contrarian bounce back spot for us.

Preferred Plays:  Barrett, Reddish

MISSISSIPPI ST vs AUBURN

I am a huge fan of Mississippi St for DFS purposes and you will see that in my lineups this afternoon.  I want exposure to Q.Weatherspoon, L.Peters, R.Perry, and T.Carter.  Carter is basically a lock for me at his price tag while the other 3 are going to be spread around and I may stack 3 of the 4 together in some GPP lineups.

For Auburn, you would think I would have a ton of interest in a game where I really like the guys on the visiting side.  I really only want exposure to Harper and Okeke in this match-up.  The rest of Auburn is just a shot in the dark at this point.  McLemore or Doughty could be in play for GPP purposes if you wanted some additional Auburn exposure.

Preferred Plays:  Carter, Q.Weatherspoon, Harper

UCF vs HOUSTON

This game does not excite me at all.  I wanted to suggest a full fade, but after looking at a few things I do have a few players that I am considering.  I think Taylor is the only player from UCF that I will consider.  For Houston, I am considering Davis Jr and Jarreau as possible options in a game that should be pretty slow and physical.

RUTGERS vs IOWA

For Rutgers, I am only considering Baker and Omoruyi.  The rest of the team is just a train wreck and tough to predict.  More guys should be in play with the boost they get against Iowa.  If you feel like there is somebody you feel strongly about, I wouldn’t argue using them in this spot.

For Iowa, I just can’t get them right.  I keep falling for T.Cook’s upside and he keeps letting me down.  Bohannon is somebody that can win you a GPP but also completely disappear.  Garza is too talented to be under $6K on DK, but he just isn’t assertive.  I lean towards the guards for Iowa in this one as I have a lot of respect for the defense of Omoruyi and M.Johnson for Rutgers.

Preferred Plays:  Baker, Moss

UNC vs CLEMSON

This is the game I want to target a bunch on this slate.  I think this game plays higher than the total and should offer some fantasy goodness.  The issue is trying to predict who is going to be the one to get it done on UNC.  I lean towards the shooting of Cameron Johnson and Coby White with having interest in Maye and N.Little for GPPs. On Clemson, it is ALL about Reed and Thomas for me.  I love that combination today and may anchor my cash lineups with both and pair them with either Johnson or White.

Preferred Plays:  White, Reed, E.Thomas

VANDERBILT vs TEXAS AM

For Vanderbilt, I am always on the Nesmith train.  I love his game and think he is near cash safe in this match-up.  I also want exposure to Lee and Shittu in a game that will probably go a bit overlooked.  Shittu is a very talented freshman who should be able to perform in this one.  Texas AM is somewhat difficult to figure out as the backcourt randomly disappears.  Mitchell is always my favorite play from the Aggies with Nebo always drawing interest because we have seen his monster upside.  Flagg has big-time upside to go with a single digit floor.  Very much the ultimate boom or bust play.  Starks was lost for the season so Chandler and Mahan should see more time and could be used as GPP dart plays.

Preferred Plays:  Nesmith, Lee, Mitchell

UTAH vs COLORADO

Utah is a pretty easy team to figure out as Barefield is their best player and is very much cash safe today.  Van Dyke offers us GPP upside with his shooting while Tillman is in play if Allen misses another game.  The rest of the guys that get regular minutes are blah GPP plays as they all have gone off at random times this season.  For Colorado, I love Bey when he gets to play at home.  The rest of the guys are blah in my eyes.  I would use M.Wright IV and Gatling in some GPPs as they both have tremendous upside.

Preferred Plays:  Barefield, Bey

SETON HALL vs GEORGETOWN

This is the game the masses are going to target and I have to agree with their decision.  For Seton Hall, I want exposure to their guards as Powell is ultra safe and Cale/McKnight offer great upside in this match-up.  I think Mamukelashvili is a GPP play with some excellent upside in a spot where he might be the overlooked one.  For Georgetown, it’s really all about Govan for me.  Govan could put up a monster game on his home court.  McClung is a GPP play because he has monster upside if he gets hot.  Akinjo is an OK GPP play, while Pickett seems to be in the doghouse.  If Mosely starts again you have to consider him a cash option at his price.

Preferred Plays:  Powell, Cale, Govan
