Friedman’s Dirty Dozen – NBA DFS Plays for Feb 13 DraftKings Tips and Advice

Hi there! I’m Aaron/AFriedman15 (@AFriedman15DFS)  and this is Friedman’s Dirty Dozen, where I will include 12ish of my favorite plays, using information from the DFS Army NBA Research Station (RS),  NBA WOWY, and other sources.  Some days, when there is a smaller slate, there will be fewer picks.  I will generally list them in order of personal preference. My research is focused around DK and the DK Research station, so keep that in mind. Players may be viable to varying degrees at the other sites as well. I will generally try to write Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Weekends, but I may have some spare time on other days as well.

In my articles, I will use a few terms which may or may not be familiar:

DKFPPG = DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Game

DKFPPM =DraftKings Fantasy Points Per Minute

Nikola Jokic: The Joker is my clear top play of the night, as he gets a huge paceup matchup here against the Kings at home. Jokic is the top rating player in the And1 rating system, while the Nuggets are implied for 119.5 fantasy points in a game with a 230 point O/U. What more can you ask for from the anchor of your lineups? At an extremely reasonable $10,100, Jokic is a definitive core play for me.

What To Expect Today — CeeGee’s 1st Look!

Kevin Durant: Portland has been terrible against wings (ask Paul George how that went the other night) and now DeMarcus Cousins is resting too, so we get a benefit of added touches for KD, while staying at the reduced Cousins-affected salary. The other day, I paid $10,300 for Paul George and I am going to pay $9,300 here for KD in the same matchup.

Jamal Murray: Jamal Murray is probably $1,000 too cheap here as he benefits from the +5.9 paceup matchup here. Murray has a very solid 16.2 And1 rating and is projected for 33 minutes, many of which will be opposite De’Aaron Fox. At $6,200 there is a lot of upside here.

Marvin Bagley: I flat out will continue to keep playing the talented rookie until he is $7,500. Last time out, Bagley went off for a career-high 32 real points. And today his price is $100 cheaper. All the Marvin for me until his price matches his talent.

Montrezl Harrell: Minutes are trending upwards for Harrell in the post-Tobias Clippers era and this is a fantastic matchup for the big man who leads the Clippers with 1.22 FPPM in the past week.

Bogdan Bogdanovic: While some may turn to Buddy Hield, I like Bogdanovic better as Hield seems to have been negatively affected with the arrival of Harrison Barnes, while Bogdanovic minutes have actually increased. Barnes is somewhat interesting himself.

Al Horford: Terry Rozier is doubtful for today’s game, and without all three of Baynes, Irving and Rozier, Horford leads the teams with 1.52 DKFPPM, albeit in a 39 minute sample.

Gordon Hayward: Hayward is just behind Horford with 1.33 DKFPPM at an extremely affordable $4,800. The RS has him at 26 minutes, which would only increase should Rozier be ruled out.

Marcus Morris:  As Coach DFS n’ DONUTS pointed out, Marcus Morris is extremely reasonable across the industry and is locked into 30+ minutes here. At $5,000 I love him in cash and he can be used in all formats.

Bookmark the  “Coaching Notes” page, it will remain the same regardless of coaches!.

Landry Shamet: If Wanamaker is the chalk cash play, in GPPs, I want to find a way to get up to Landry Shamet for $800 more at just $4,000 for the rookie guard. He has been getting a lot of of minutes and is averaging 31 minutes over his last three games. Gimme some Landry here.

Lou Williams: I am not sure exactly how much of Sweet Lou I will have in my builds, but he is just behind Harrell with 1.20 FPPM and a tremendous 41.5% usage rate in the past week. Again, not a huge sample, but I am interesting in having 20-30% in my player pool.

Brad Wanamaker: Could be the chalk value if Rozier is out…stay tuned to the coaching channels!

Also under consideration: Bradley Beal, Dion Waiters, Larry Nance Jr. Marquese Chriss, Thad Young, Boban (if Embiid sits), Karl-Anthony Towns, Malik Beasley, Joe Harris, Harrison Barnes, DeAndre Ayton.

Those are your Dirty Dozen! Some are going to be commonplace, and some won’t.  These are players my research led me to and some will contain risk.  Your research may indicate you agree or disagree, and that’s ok….we discuss these things in our coaching channels nightly.  Good luck tonight!  Check  the coaches picks  for even more confidence in your plays.  And always consult all of the unlocked tools (including the Research Station) before lock!  And, if you are catching me on a #FreebieFriday, you are going to want to unlock those coaching channels by admitting……
