NBA DFS Lineup Samples and Picks for Saturday, December 18th
Kemba Walker and Russell Westbrook provide us with an opportunity to win the slate at the point guard position. Kemba has scored 38.40, 59.10, 51.20 and 41.20 FanDuel points in his last four (3 of which were at home). He always is a threat at home and has taken 35 three-point attempts over his last three games. The Lakers play at an incredibly fast-pace and Walker thrives at home with the ball in his hands.
Westbrook and the Thunder have lost 3 out of their last 4 and Westy only scored 12 and 13 points in their last two losses. Would anybody be shocked if Russell stopped deferring to Paul George and just absolutely took over his game against the defensively inept Clippers? If this comes to fruition and you don’t have exposure to Westy then you are likely not winning anything substantial on this slate.
Those two aren’t the only pieces I want to target in their games. I really like the idea of rolling out the other two wings for the Hornets, with both Jeremy Lamb and Nicolas Batum offering us with low-cost options that should play plenty of minutes in a great game environment. Lamb has played 35 and 38 minutes over the last two games and has scored double-digit points in 13 of the last 14 contests. He’s hit 5x value at his FanDuel price tag in 9 of the last 14 games and has shown 7x upside at that price tag. 
Justin Holiday offers us substantial value across the industry as he continues to play a massive amount of minutes. It also looks like the Bulls are trying to trade Jabari Parker to free up some minutes in the rotation now that Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis have returned to the fun. In any case, Holiday has played 34+ minutes in 4 of the last 5 games and scored 25.20 FanDuel points or more in 9 of the last 11 games. He scored 35.20 against San Antonio just three weeks ago and has exceeded his price tag on both FanDuel and DraftKings in over 50% of his games since early November.
Dario Saric should play a ton of minutes in this game against the weak and feeble Pheonix Suns. Taj Gibson is looking like he won’t play and that means Saric should get plenty of run. Over the last two games, Dario had played 30 and 31 minutes and produced FanDuel scores of 32.70 and 24.60. He’s close to a plug and play (gasp, dare I say a lock?) on this small 6 game slate.
I like the idea of rolling with the Hornets stack and running it back with LeBron James for a large field tournament to maximize scoring potential with the hopes that this game exceeds its 226 total and the 2.0 spread comes to fruition. If it managed to go into overtime these four players would struggle not to exceed value.
On DraftKings, there is a specific build that I think capitalizes on the soft pricing for their main slate and provides us with a massive scoring ceiling. I’ll call this the “The World is Your Oyster” build. We can plug in the three Charlotte guards/wings in the pace-up matchup with a 112 point team total. Then tack on Saric and Holiday who are both underappreciated for their current role and minute potential in their respective games. We now have $21,400 leftover to fill in our important center spot with both the Forward and Utility spots left to plug in. That type of freedom when making a lineup is a good feeling.
