Sniper’s Slide Tackle – EPL Player Picks for November 10

This is the week we learn what a player pool looks like without all but one of the big teams and hint, the forward position is a dumpster fire. But there are plenty of ways to build high floor cash lineups, which is totally my thing so let’s get to it. The Slide Tackle is for VIPs only and includes four players I’m targeting heading into that crucial period before lineups are released. Make sure you’re around in VIP Chat when that happens (about an hour before kick-off) as that’s when there is the biggest edge and when TreyJ will drop our full list of plays.

Marc Albrighton (Leicester)
DraftKings: $7.1k M | FanDuel: $7.5k M

Let’s start as we do every week with what I expect to be the chalk I’m willing to eat. James Maddison is out, Leicester is the largest favorite on the slate and takes on a Burnley team that lets you cross at will. Don’t expect the outrageous 24 crosses that you see in his game log but Albrighton will be on set pieces and has plenty of open play value to go with it. A floor and a ceiling? Yes, please.

Jose Holebas (Watford)
DraftKings: $6.9k D | FanDuel: 5.5k D

Speaking of a high floor, I’m going to go ahead and say it. Holebas is a better price per dollar play than Kieran Trippier this week. Trippier is also playing in the late match and if he doesn’t start you are really screwed trying to fill his salary. Not to mention that Eriksen and some others hurt Trippier and Holebas doesn’t have that problem. Consistent open play crosser and corner-taker for Watford in a slate that doesn’t look to have a lot of goals in it, sign me up for the floor of Holebas. If he doesn’t start, I’ll have no problem pivoting to the cheaper Adam Masina.

Harry Kane (Tottenham)

DraftKings: $10.6 F | FanDuel: $13.5k F

Barf. Insert my snarky comment about goal dependent forwards but he’s the top play on FanDuel (where goal dependence is okay) and it isn’t even close. He makes the slide tackle though because as I mentioned…forward on DraftKings is hot garbage. There is plenty of value in the mid-range that you can pay up for Kane in all formats. It’s a risk but I do expect him to carry some ownership and he won’t totally kill you in cash games. In short, play him on FanDuel and on DraftKings see where your build takes you but he’s a viable option – I just wouldn’t start there.

Andros Townsend (Crystal Palace)

DraftKings: $6.1k M/F | FanDuel: $6.5k M

Yeah, this one is a bit risky but behind Kane my most likely exposure to the hammer match is from Andros Townsend. Crystal Palace is not a great team but their style of play is solid for fantasy and Townsend has hit double digits (DK) in four of his last six games. Yes, they are playing Tottenham but I don’t expect the Spurs to rack up 75% possession. Palace will have some chances and at Townsend price in that dreaded forward spot on DraftKings, he’s firmly on my radar.

That’s it for today, remember to be in VIP Chat Saturday morning as myself and Trey will be providing updates and our player pools when lineups are released!
