DFS n’ Donuts Shop – NBA DFS Value Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings 11/20/18

The DFS n’ Donuts Shop

The modus operandi of the majority of my articles and podcasts is to deliver compelling evidence through analytics, trends, and useful data as to why a player or team is an ideal target to invest in. This article is slightly different than what you’ll see in most of my articles. In this weekly column, I will provide a light breakdown of the slate, give a brief overview of what Vegas has to say about the current week of games and highlight a few significant values on FanDuel and DraftKings based on some analytical data. This article is an early overview of the main slate and should be used as a building block and guideline to develop your strategies and start to envision possible paths to victory.

Salute to the Member Success

A massive GET SOME to a brand new member who won $200,000 in the FanDuel Milly Maker in his first week as a member of the DFS Army!

Kudos to a few of our NBA member wins from this week as well including a $100,000 winner!!!!!

Our members and coaches create a type of bond that goes beyond fantasy sports discussion and DFS coaching. Often you’ll find members and staff sharing conversations about life in general, sports, family, work, stressors, and testimonies. It’s a really unique community and one that drove me to leave every other company I was working for at the time to focus on this one. We’ve already had a $200,000 winner in 2018 and our “Member Hall of Fame” is littered with results from the 2017 and current 2018 NFL season. I hope that we as a company and community, are able to change the life of a player or even potentially an entire family!

Spencer Dinwiddie is underpriced for his current role with the Nets. He’s just $5,500 on DraftKings and is getting work as the backup point guard and running at the two guard as well when they have Deangelo Russell running point. Dinwiddie is having a great season and continues to perform at a high level. He’s scored over 25.75 DraftKings points in 7-of-8 games and had a massive 49.00 point explosion a couple of games ago. His usage rate has been 26.9%, 18.9%, 24.7%, 23.4%, and 34.3% over the last five games, highlighting the new role he has as a scorer and distributor with the team.

Montrezl Harrell was one of the players I wrote up on Monday and that was before the news about Danilo Gallinari. He went out there and went completely nuts and was one of the top value play across the industry no matter the format (FantasyDraft and Yahoo! included). Harrell is still underpriced, whether or not Gallo plays, and needs to be targeted with vigor in the matchup against a lifeless Wizards unit that can’t rebound and has zero hustle outside of Bradley Beal and Otto Porter.

Nikola Vucevic has scored 50, 45, 38, 51, 57, and 59 DraftKings points over his last six games and yet he’s just $8,300. He has an elite floor and ceiling combination and it will be hard for him to not pay off his price tag. On FanDuel, he’s $9,500 which is a more accurate price tag but he’s least still in play for cash games.

Lou Williams is in play in tournaments against the Wizards because I think there is a chance Avery Bradley might sit on this back to back or at least be limited. He just doesn’t look right and last night in 20 minutes he went 2-for-7 from the field and had 4 fouls with just 1 steal and 5 points. Literally, he racked up zero other stats. Sweet Lou is going to start getting more burn here as the primary scorer off the bench and run with the first unit to close out the 2nd and 4th quarter.

Jonathan Isaac is a slate winning value on DraftKings at just $3,500. He looked healthy last game and in 24 minutes of action he racked up 32 DraftKings points. He is overpriced on FanDuel but I suppose due to the FanDuel “Drop Score” format he is in play for GPPs.

Trey Burke is a thing again. He finished the 2017 season as an absolute stud and was priced up near $8,000 at one point. He has received 20 plus minutes in 4 of the last 5 games, including 26 and 29 minutes in the last two. He has scored 24 and 31 actual points in the last two games and has 30.75 and 40.75 DraftKings points. At just $4,200 on DK, he’s an elite GPP target and cash game option, albeit an un-nerving one to select. On FanDuel, he’s just $4,900 and is a premier large field GPP option due to his volatility.
