Zadelstein’s Bargain Basement – Finding Value for DraftKings College Football Week 6!

QB – Peyton Ramsey ($4,900) Indiana

Indiana has let dual-threat quarterback Peyton Ramsey loose the past 2 weeks.  Over the past 2 games, he has 86 pass attempts and 28 runs.  This week Indiana is a huge underdog to Ohio State, and they will have to air it out to stay in the game.  Last week, Ohio State faced dual-threat QB Trace McSorley.  Who finished with 175 yards rushing and over 450 yards total offense.  I totally expect this game to be a blowout, but that doesn’t mean Ramsey won’t have a game to make great value.  I like pairing Ramsey with a receiver in GPPs.  It will be worth watching the health of Whop Philyor who had a whopping 17 targets in week 4 before getting hurt.  If he is hurt look to Nick Westbrook or Donovan Hale to stack.

RB – Kennedy McKoy ($5,000)

Kennedy McKoy is purely a contrarian GPP play, but one that I love this week.  Everyone looks at the West Virginia passing attack and sees how efficient it is.  This week, West Virginia is a huge favorite over Kansas, who is allowing 177 yards a game on the ground.  This does not worry me at all for the likes of Will Grier and his receivers, but I love the thought of pivoting that ownership into McKoy.  McKoy has over 75 yards rushing in each of the last 3 games and has seen the end zone twice.  If he could fall into the end zone one more time and get 25 more yards against this abysmal rush defense, that turns into a 25-point performance.

WR – Flynn Nagel ($4,700) Northwestern

This is another GPP play.  Flynn Nagel is the top receiving threat for Northwestern, who travels to bottom Michigan State.  Michigan State is ranked in the bottom 25 against the pass allowing over 288 yards a game.  This game has a low total and Northwestern is a double-digit dog so I think Nagel will have very low ownership.  Last week against Michigan, Northwestern came out to a hot start scoring 17 points in the first half.  In the second half, they fell apart and couldn’t get anything started.  When they were most successful, quarterback Clayton Thorson was airing the ball out.   I look for them to try to use Thorson’s arm again this game to get the offense rolling.

WR – Landon Wolf ($4,200) Oklahoma State

Landon Wolf was in this article last week as a news play and he did not disappoint.  In his first week as a starter, Wolf led the Cowboys with 7 targets.  This week, inside receiver Dillon Stoner is still questionable and Wolf is in a great position regardless.  Oklahoma State is at home and 10 point favorites over Iowa State.  I look for them to use the pass to open up the run for stud running back Justice Hill.  At $4,200, Wolf is way too cheap and could be the value play of the week.

Great Article on Landon Wolf

WR – Amari Rodgers ($4,700) Clemson

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is hoping to have a better second start than his first.  Last week he was injured early and forced to be taken into concussion protocol.  After it was apparent that it was a neck injury and not a concussion, Lawrence was cleared for this week’s game against Wake Forest.  Wake Forest has an abysmal pass defense, giving up over 300 yards 3 times this year (including 345 to FCS Towson) and allowing at least 2 passing touchdowns in every game.  Amari Rodgers has been one of the top receivers for Clemson and I think this is a week the passing game could break out.  This is a team I want a piece of this week and this is a cheap way to get that piece.
