Sniper’s Slide Tackle – EPL Player Picks for October 27

It’s Liverpool week! I don’t think it’s a week to get cute as one of the contenders for the EPL title hosts lowly Cardiff in a game that is far and away the most lopsided of the day, leaving us to dissect the best plays from Liverpool and find value in the rest of the slate. The Slide Tackle is for VIPs only and includes four players I’m targeting heading into that crucial period before lineups are released. Make sure you’re around in VIP Chat when that happens (about an hour before kick-off) as that’s when there is the biggest edge and when TreyJ will drop our full list of plays.

Everyone from Liverpool

What makes this situation really difficult is that we don’t know what Liverpool lineup we are going to get. They played a Champions League on Wednesday and could heavily rotate and still comfortably dispatch Cardiff. This is a situation to check-in on in the morning but my initial thought is I need at least two pieces of this game in cash lineups. Assuming we get the projected lineup that’s currently in the RS (which I doubt) my rankings for the forwards and midfielders would be: Salah, Firmino, Milner, Shaqiri, Mane.

Jose Holebas (Watford)
DraftKings: $7.1k D | FanDuel: 6.0k D

You knew this was coming, right? I know Holebas is starting to get pricey but I can’t turn away his floor for Watford, making him the top defender option for Saturday, especially on DraftKings. Holebas is rested after missing last week thanks to yellow card accumulation, prior to that he has racked up double-digit crosses in ten straight games. Beyond that Watford is also the second largest favorite on the slate and should have enough possession/scoring for Holebas to pay off value.

James Maddison (Leicester)

DraftKings: $9.1k M | FanDuel: $9.5k M

If you get a heavily rotated and discounted Liverpool team or if you just want a non-goal dependent floor, then turn your attention to James Maddison. Maddison would be the chalk of the slate if not for the massive Liverpool line. Maddison is the focal point of the home team in our hammer match as he takes most of the set pieces as well as having his best match-up in the last couple weeks. Maddison may not have massive GPP winning upside but he’s a solid floor option at the top of the player pool.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh (Brighton)

DraftKings: $5.9 M/F | FanDuel: $6.5k F

Let’s get off the chalk a bit and while it’s lineup dependent Alireza Jahanbakhsh is in a good spot as long as Anthony Knockaert and Pascal Gross are both out as expected. This was the case last week and Jahanbakhsh was on set pieces on the road against Newcastle. He should see enough of the ball for peripheral stats at home versus Wolves and be in the best spot on the Brighton roster should we get the expected lineup.

That’s it for today, remember to be in VIP Chat Saturday morning as myself and Trey will be providing updates and our player pools when lineups are released!
