This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.
Quick Trends (21 game sample)
- We have 11 different players drafted 100% of the time this week as chalk, up by 1 person fro the previous week. 74% chalk means a consensus around the core plays are starting to take shape this season before the first bye weeks begin.
- Two QBs ranked in as 100% chalk this week as everyone is trusting Mahomes to have another monster game this week going up against the 49ers non-existant defense.
- Similar to week 2 it was the Kamara/Gurley show. With Gurely being match-up proof and Kamara in a smash spot, it was nearly a coin toss.
- Mahomes was the highest drafted QB going in the 3rd round in a vote of confidence.

Draft Projections & Rankings
The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in house at DFS Army where take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy
- I’m not stacking any specific offense this week again. If I happen to pair Mahomes with Hill or Brees with Thomas or Kamara, I’m letting it happen. Both teams have sky-high team totals in games to target this week.
- On the same point, I’m not reaching for a QB either. I don’t like Mahomes in the 3rd round. I’m sticking with the late round QB strategy this week.
- There are several guys pointed out in various VIP notes from our coaches we’ll cover in chat this week that are not being picked up at all that can be great pivots.
