NFL Preseason Week 1 DFS Blitz for Fanduel and Draftkings.

NFL PRESEASON DFS:

Only DFS degenerates play NFL Preseason DFS, right? Probably…but there is reason for you to join them this year. When people were scoffing at the idea of playing WNBA DFS “if there’s money to be made, you know we’re playing” and the NFL Preseason will be no different. So if you are reading this, you already have an edge over most DFS players!

One main reason to play NFL Preseason, you’ll get a chance to re-familiarize yourself with the NFL DFS game. Also, it’s a fun and great way to build a bankroll cushion. On Draftkings the last 2 NFL Preseasons, I played $41.25 of entry fees and won $306.00, which gave me a great bankroll for the NFL season.

It’s a monster of a slate so let’s jump in.

Preseason NFL Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson (BAL) QB3

Starting off where we ended last week; Lamar Jackson.  Jackson was 4-10 for 33 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.  He ran for 25 yards.  If he’s going to get another 2 quarters Jackson is someone that’s in play against the Rams.

Baker Mayfield (CLE) QB2

Name alone should drive up ownership for the number 1 pick on Thursday. Last season, the ex Brown Kizer played 44% of the snaps. Mayfield will get a chance to play “quite a bit” according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Pair him up with Rashard Higgins if you are into that QB-WR combo thing.

Brian Hoyer (NE) QB2

Last year, Jimmy G was the week 1 starter with Tom Brady pending “deflate gate” suspension and played 68% of the snaps.  For Hoyer that would be great.  He’s been a starter in the league and been in this system for years.  He’s in an ideal spot if NE follows suit.

Nate Sudfield (PHI) QB3

The defending Super Bowl Champs have Carson Wentz and Nick Foles out this week. Last season, the QB2 played 71% of the snaps and threw 42 times.  I don’t expect that much production, but it warrants a look.

Others to consider: Chase Daniel (CHI) QB2, Deshone Kizer (GB)QB3

Preseason NFL Running Backs

Running backs during the preseason can be very volatile. Also rookie RBs don’t necessarily get all the carries Last season, no top pick lead their team in snaps WEEK 1. However, I expect Barkley, Chubb and Penny to draw a ton of ownership.

***They won’t be listed below but they should still be considered ***

Joel Bouagnon (GB) RB4 or RB5

His name is all over a few “tout” sites and for good reason. Green Bay used 5 running backs last preseason WEEK 1. That’s not a luxury this season. Jones and Mays are dealing with injuries. Ty Montgomery will see very little playing time so that leaves Jamaal Williams and Joel Bouagnon. I’d prefer the mop up player here and Bouahnon has that duty.

Nyheim Hines (IND) RB2

This running back out of North Carolina State, has turned some heads during the team’s training camp. He’s a fourth rounder, former WR and a finalist for the Paul Hourning award. Hines should get plenty of snaps Thursday to showcase his talents

Jaylen Samuels (PIT) RB3

With Bell hanging in strip clubs and James Connor starting, which will limit his snaps, Jaylen Samuels are getting plenty of looks this preseason. fills the starter role this week. Tomlin has been quoted that he expects him to be involved in the passing game this season. Steelers get a chance to see if moving on from Bell was right choice.

Others to consider: Bo Scarborough (DAL) RB3, Boston Scott (NO) RB4

Wide Recievers for Preseason Football

Rashard Higgins (CLE) WR3

Higgins has a great opportunity to move up the depth chart with the Browns trading Coleman and Callaway’s arrest. Higgins has been a heavy target of Mayfield in camp.

D.J. Chark (JAX) WR3

DFS Twitter will know about him and his all over with that’s toasting of Ramsey. Chark has also been the talk of camp and Bortles even has been targeting him. Probably the highest own player on slate.

Maurice Harris (WAS)WR3

Remember this guy? If you don’t google up the one handed diving catch against the Vikings. He’s the talk of Redskins camp with his amazing hands. With a few WRs nursing injuries, I’d expect a large dose of Harris.  Fun fact: he is Keenan Allen cousin.

Others to consider: Tre’Quan Smith (NO), Javon Wims (CHI), Riley McCarron (NE)

Before we move to the Ravens squad, I want to take a minute and show you our proprietary research tool….The Research Station. Loaded with all your stats, salaries, trends, projections, and more this tool gives you an advantage no one in the industry possesses. Add that with our Domination Station Optimizer (test drive the tutorial) and you can hone in on key plays that put you in the winner’s circle. We are undergoing some additions currently, but will have it fully functional by Week 1 of the regular season. However, I thought you’d love to see a screenshot of what this bad boy is going to look like!!

DFS Army

Tight ends

Thankfully TE is only one slot. If you get any points during the preseason, you’re lucky. Here’s list of 3 that I feel with make an impact and provide some targets, hopefully a TD.

1. Hayden Hurst (BAL)

2. Mike Gesicki (MIA)

3. Dallas Goedert (PHI)
