With the Seattle vs. Washington game taking place earlier today, we have a two-game slate on our hands. Both the Sparks (-2) and the Lynx (-1) are favored today in what Vegas is predicting to be very close low scoring affairs. There is no major injury news (except for Rebekkah Brunson being out) to significantly affect the slate. That said, let’s dive in!

  • Los Angeles Sparks @ Atlanta Dream

Another day, same story. Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike are the top plays for the Sparks. The Dream average in terms of fantasy points given up to bigs, with both Cs and PFs scoring right around 1/0.93 DK/FD fantasy points per minute. I love Alana Beard today as a low value all format play. Finally, Chelsea Gray is in play against a Dream team that is 5th in the league in points allowed to PGs. I have no interest in anyone else on the Sparks.

The Dream have their work cut out for them today. The Sparks are 3rd in the league in fantasy points given up to Cs, with Parker in particular getting burnt. I like Elizabeth Williams here in all formats. Jessica Breland is always a GPP play due to her inconsistency. I want no part of Angel McCoughtry due to her matchup against Alana Beard. I normally avoid guards against the Sparks and given the other favorable guard matchups on this slate, doing so today is the wise play. That said, Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Sykes make for interesting GPP plays. Alex Bentley will be highly owned in a bad matchup. My final GPP punt play here is Monique Billings.

  • Minnesota Lynx @ Las Vegas Aces

Let’s keep this simple. Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore are the top plays. The Aces vie with the Sky as the worst defensive teams in the league fantasy-wise. Fowles and Moore are player in all formats. After them, the next best play here is Lindsay Whalen. She loves playing against the week defense of the Aces and she is well rested for this game. These are the only three plays I really like here. Seimone Augustus and Danielle Robinson are usable GPP punts. Cecilia Zandalasini, Erlana Larkins, and Temi Fagbenle will all have their hands full dealing with A’ja Wilson.

Speaking of A’ja Wilson, the Aces will rely heavily on her today. She’s playable in all formats. I love Carolyn Swords tonight. Fowles, and the Lynx in general, have been sloppy at times this season, and Swords is well-placed to reap the benefits of that today. I love Kayla McBride, she’s my top guard play of the slate, especially against a Lynx team that is one of the worst against guards. The ownership on Kelsey Plum will be ridiculous today given her last performance and recent form. She is in play today, and is a Cash staple, but I’ll be fading her for the most part in GPPs. My final punt play in this game is Moriah Jefferson. She hasn’t done much this season, but this is the Lynx we are talking about and she can easily put up 15-20 fantasy points on them.
