What a wonderful All-Star game we had. Maya Moore and Allie Quigley were the highlights of the event! And taking a break from WNBA Dfs has been refreshing, revitalizing us enough to attack the final weeks of the season with gusto! We have a nice three game slate to ease us back into things tonight, so let’s dive in!

  • Washington Mystics @ Atlanta Dream

This is the third meeting between both teams, with the Dream winning the previous two. In both games, Elena Delle Donne has paced the Mystics, averaging 41 DK/40 FD points. Delle Donne is the top target for the Mystics today and one of the top plays on the slate. LaToya Sanders is in play today as well. While she didn’t have success in the first meeting, she found her stride in the second one, and the spot is good. Ariel Atkins is a mystery here. The matchup is a good one, but she has struggled in both previous games. She makes for a good GPP play but is not good for Cash. I have very little interest in Kristi Toliver given the matchup, but Natasha Cloud who is probable makes for an excellent play here. With Cloud back, the likes of Monique Currie and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt take a back seat, making them less than optimal plays.

Jessica Breland leads the way for the Dream today. She has been phenomenal against the Mystics this season despite a not so ideal matchup. Elizabeth Williams will have her hands full with Sanders. It’s a good matchup, one which she can exploit. This is a tough spot for Angel McCoughtry. I make it a point not to pick on Atkins, and I will be following that and staying away from McCoughtry today. Tiffany Hayes makes for an interesting play today in a neutral matchup. Her price has dropped some, but I still believe she is still overpriced on Fanduel. She’s usable on Draftkings at $8,600. I have no interesting in Renee Montgomery, and Brittney Sykes is just not getting enough minutes now for me to pay the asking price on her.

  • Chicago Sky @ Dallas Wings

These two team have played two high scoring games so far this season, and Vegas is expecting the same today. They have split the season series so far, with the home team winning each game. With Vegas predicting a Dallas blowout win, the Sky will need all their big guns to pull off the upset here. Courtney Vandersloot, Diamond DeShields, and Gabby Williams are the main targets here. They have good matchups and can take advantage of it. Gabby Williams is especially cheap on DK, making her the perfect value play when building lineups there. Allie Quigley is just a step below the other three mentioned. She has a relatively high floor and good upside as well, making her a great Cash play. I have no interest in Stefanie Dolson, she just can’t handle the size of Liz Cambage. Finally, Cheyenne Parker and Kahleah Copper make for interesting GPP plays.

Liz Cambage will be the highest owned stud on this slate and for good reason. In Cash, just plug her in and move on. The spot is perfect for Glory Johnson, but she has struggled mightily in it. This relegates Johnson to a strictly GPP role tonight. Allisha Gray makes for a fantastic value play tonight, and an excellent Cash play. Skylar Diggins-Smith is in an excellent spot today and is priced accordingly. Avoid playing both Cambage and Diggins-Smith in the same lineup. Most of my lineups will have at least one of them in it. Azura Stevens makes for an interesting GPP play if Johnson can’t get going today. I have limited interest in Kayla Thornton tonight. The potential return of Theresa Plaisance should not have much of a disruptive effect today.

  • Seattle Storm @ Phoenix Mercury

This is the third meeting between these teams, with the previous two occurring right at the beginning of the season. Breanna Stewart is the top play for the Storm, and the Mercury will have a hard time slowing her down. Natasha Howard will have her hands full with Britney Griner, I want no part of that today. Alysha Clark remains extremely inconsistent, in what is a neutral spot today. She is strictly a GPP dart. Jewell Loyd will be called on today to carry some of the load for the Storm. She is in a neutral spot and has exceled in this matchup this season. She is an excellent play in all formats. Sue Bird has a tough matchup against Briann January, and her price makes it extremely difficult to roster today especially on Fanduel. Given her consistent, she deserves strong consideration in Cash games. No other Storm player is of much interest today.

Britney Griner headlines the lineup for the Mercury. The spot against the Storm is a tough one, but that hasn’t stopped Griner in the past. She’s playable in all formats. I have very little interest in any other Mercury big. The signing of Devereaux Peters will cut into the minutes situation for all of them. I can see using Angel Robinson on Fanduel as a punt play, but that’s about it. DeWanna Bonner is in a tough spot against Alysha Clark tonight, combined with her high price tag, it is hard to see rostering her tonight. She will have significant ownership after her last performance but remember that happened with Diana Taurasi out of the lineup. Speaking of Taurasi, she is in poor spot today, but that has never really stopped her before. Combined with having missed a game due to suspension, Taurasi should be fresh and ready to go tonight. Finally, Briann January deserves some consideration tonight. She finally appears to be getting 30+ minutes, and given her price, makes for a great value play on both sites.
