The four-game slate today provides a lot of opportunities to exploit. With some of the best teams when it comes to giving up fantasy points on the slate, and some exceptional value plays, there are a lot of matchups to exploit today! Let’s dive in!

  • Chicago Sky @ Washington Mystics

The Mystics defend the small forward position extremely well, and are middle of the pack everywhere else. Courtney Vandersloot, Allie Quigley, Cheyenne Parker, and Stefanie Dolson are the top plays for the Sky tonight. Vandersloot is in good form and the team general goes as she goes. The recent performance of Dolson has been dismal, this is a good spot for her to regain her form. Gabby Williams is a GPP flyer here as her minutes are inconsistent.

The Sky are one of the worst defensive team in the league. Elena Delle Donne, LaToya Sanders, Natasha Cloud, and Kristi Toliver are all in play today. EDD is one of the top studs on the slate and I expect her to carry some heavy ownership. Sanders is one of the best center spots and her salary makes her a prime target. Toliver and Cloud should carry lower ownership. Atkins gets the tough matchup today going up against Diamond DeShields.

  • Indiana Fever @ Atlanta Dream

This is the fourth meeting in this series, with the Dream holding a 2-1 lead. Victory for the Fever lies in the hands of Natalie Achonwa, Candice Dupree, Victoria Vivians, Kelsey Mitchell, and potentially Erica Wheeler. If the game stays close, Dupree has shown the ability to exploit her matchup against Jessica Breland. Victoria Vivians and Natalie Achonwa are in excellent spots here. Mitchell and Wheeler are in good spots, whether they can exploit it is an open question given their recent forms.

For the Dream, the guards and Jessica Breland are in the best spots today. However, caution should be employed here. Breland has failed to exploit her excellent matchup in the previous three games in this series. Angel McCoughtry has a poor matchup and makes for a contrarian GPP play only. The guard situation for the Dream is up in the air. With Alex Bentley joining the team, there’s some jockeying for minutes going on. Tiffany Hayes and Renee Montgomery are the safest plays as starters who get most of the minutes, with Bentley and Brittney Sykes splitting the backup minutes.

  • Phoenix Mercury @ Connecticut Sun

This is the third meeting between these teams, and the Sun were successful in limiting Britney Griner in the previous two. Of interest for the Mercury today are Camille Little who is still too cheap, and DeWanna Bonner who has an excellent matchup on paper. Diana Taurasi can be added to the mix, but her status is still up in the air. Taurasi makes for a good play if she is good to go. In this scenario, Yvonne Turner and Leilani Mitchell are not playable. If Taurasi can’t go, Turner and Mitchell should see significant boosts in minutes, although the matchup is not one to be crazy about.

This is a tough game for the Sun. I’ll be taking a break from playing Jonquel Jones today. Chiney Ogwumike has not found success against these Mercury, and exposure to her should be limited. Alyssa Thomas is back and it appears there is no rusty from the injury, she is in play today. With Courtney Williams back, Rachel Banham is no longer in play at her price. I prefer Williams over Jasmine Thomas in this matchup.

  • Las Vegas Aces @ Minnesota Lynx

This is a juicy hammer game to target. A’ja Wilson makes for an excellent GPP play here. Without the injured Rebekkah Brunson, the matchup should be better for Wilson. Kayla McBride and Kelsey Plum are in good spots here as well, and are playable in all formats. Of major interest is Moriah Jefferson. The spot is exploitable by Jefferson as she slowly picks up more minutes. She makes for an excellent value play.

This is a primo matchup for the Lynx. Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore are in excellent positions, and playable in all formats. Seimone Augustus is in a good spot, the question remains whether she takes advantage of it. Lindsay Whalen and Danielle Robinson take away from each other, making them strictly GPP flyers. Finally, Erlana Larkins, Endy Miyem, and Temi Fagbenle will share minutes at the power forward spots making them unplayable. The best value is Larkins, but she is not in the player pool.
