The Sway Bar: NASCAR Draftkings Plays, Fades and Values for Michigan

Back to the Irish Hills we go! 2 miles of pure speed at Michigan. As always, the research is just getting started, so think about getting signed up and get exclusive access to our projection model, the domination station lineup optimizer, and most importantly, direct chat room access to some of the sharpest NASCAR minds in the industry. I will be on there all weekend updating everyone on my research.

Top Plays

Kyle Larson – Larson is going for his fourth win in a row at Michigan, and he will do so from 26th place. Despite his qualifying follies, Larson has top three car, paired with the best Michigan driver in the field. I would put him at the favorite to win this race, and a near lock for this race.

Kevin Harvick – For the millionth and one time in a row, Harvick brought the fastest car in the field. 1st in single and 10 lap speed, Harvick rides into Michigan some MAJOR confidence. He sstarts fourth, and scored top tens in both tries at Michigan last year. Look for Harvick to lead early and often before competing for a win on Sunday.

Martin Truex Jr. – MTJ has never been known for his prowess on two milers, and didn’t even show tremendous speed. However, he has momentum, Cole Pearn, and he starts 17th. I don’t think MTJ will dominate this race, but he wont need to. Look for him to get that car tuned up and run top 5 by the end of the day.

Kyle Busch – This is a real brave selection of top plays, eh? But alas – it’s a four man sport right now, and KB rounds out the top four. Kyle Busch has never dominated at Michigan, but as we all now – 2018 is a different story. He showed great long run speed and should move forward on the back of the inevitable Michigan long runs. I won’t play KB as much as some of the other guys here, but he is still and elite play.

Fades

Michigan can get silly, so no clear fades. Everyone is on the table.

Value Plays

Jamie McMurray – Big Mac is sneaky good at Michigan, boasting four top tens in a row. He starts 24th, which feels like a fantasy gift. He didn’t show great speed in practice, but chances are he will get that Kyle Larson setup by Sunday. Look for JMac to leave it all on the track on his way to a fifth straight top ten at Michigan.

Daniel Suarez – Michigan has not been a friend to Daniel Suarez so far in the Monster Energy Series, but once upon a time, he beat Kyle Busch here. Suarez knows his way around Michigan, he will just need to avoid trouble all day. He has legit top ten speed agaisnt a 22nd starting spit and a 7300 price tag. Seems like a lay up.

Ty Dillon – Ty Dillon is getting better and better every week, and that should continue at Michigan – one of his better tracks. Ty is a survivalist, and when you start 31st, that is often all you need to be fantasy relevant.

So there it is folks. We will be talking more strategy on the DFS Army Slack Room right up until lock.
