Australia v Peru

It’s the last day for both these squads to show the world what they can do. Peru hasn’t had the best luck despite creating massive chances up and down the World Cup. Australia actually has a semi-outside shot to advance with a win and a Denmark loss.  Given all of this, I expect to see a very competitive match. Peru should be led by their captain, Paolo Guerrero. Australia has had their struggles with forwards and Guerrero can be a handful. I would be shocked if we see less than 3 shots from him. I will have shares of him in GPP. On the other side of the pitch, I like the idea of Daniel Arzani in GPPs, if he starts. The way to break down Peru is accurate passing and good ball control.  Their pressing defensive style can lead to players drifting more center and the attacking wings have more space on the outside. Arzani would play a wing and is good with the ball at his feet.

Denmark v France

France doesn’t need this game so I expect some guys to get some rest.  That doesn’t mean they write it off, but it does mean there is some built in value coming. Djibril Sidibe looks like he may be healthy enough to grab a start. He should make a solid cash play, especially on Fanduel where he is $4000. Your cash play for Denmark is Christian Eriksen.  Some things never change. In GPP, I am somewhat intrigued by Andreas Cornelius popping up in the projected lineup. He is a boom or bust option as he won’t be expected to create all that much but it gives Eriksen another tall option get after the French defensive.

If you are still wary and wish to try before you buy, check out these options that could get you a free month of the DFS Army! You won’t be disappointed. The helmets on our crowded testimonials page on our site speak for themselves. We can make more room, though!

Nigeria v Argentina

One thing is for certain.  Despite all that has, or hasn’t, happened thus far, everyone is going to be on Lionel Messi. In GPP I like Sergio Aguero, but you can play Messi in cash. You are going to ask yourself if you can get by without playing him or if you are going to kick yourself for not playing him. That is not something I can answer for you; but, at his ownership, he would likely need a brace or to be 1 of like 3 goals on the slate to hurt you if you choose to fade him. Speaking of which, if you are a DFS Army VIP, we have some discussion to get into on Messi and how to use (or fade) him today.  That is only for DFS Army, though, so get busy joining the winning team.

Normally you would see me write up Victor Moses as a cash play but I just can’t do it.  His price is rising and this is a somewhat tough matchup. He is relegated to a GPP play alongside the guy next to him, Oghenekaro Etebo.

Iceland v Croatia

Croatia has already succeeded in moving on to the knockout stage of the World Cup. We should see them rest some key players.  Depending on how they roll out their starting XI, this game could provide a lot of value. We will handle Croatia in slack but we know that Iceland will roll out the A squad. Given the projected lineup for Croatia, I am not expecting Croatia to be overly solid in the center of the pitch.  This is where I want to attack, if I am using Iceland.  They have an outside shot to still break group. Stranger things have happened.

That’s all I wrote. Thanks for reading.  Non-members of the army have been granted a gift. This article will stay free for a little while longer; but, for the full list and the late analysis of formations and betting lines, you need to become a VIP. There is much more in the way of picks, stats, semi-witty banter waiting within the friendly confines of the DFS Army. To the VIPs, Let’s crush! To those on the outside, good luck.
