Spain v Russia

Spain is this slate’s chalk team.  They are the bigger favorite, the have the best history, and they sport some of the bigger names on the slate.  We start with Diego Costa. He has such an ability to create his own space and to do so much with so little.  Russia does not have the best defense and they were the beneficiary of some basic competition.  They look better on paper and Costa, a cash play, should show just how paper thin Russia is at the back. Isco can cause the defense problems with his pace, too.

For Russia, I have to start with the top of the formation. Russian fans figured Smolov would deliver on their hopes, but it really has been Artem Dzyuba who has been the one to get it done up top. Russia has a few key injuries but I won’t say they don’t have a puncher’s chance. They still have some talent; and, while they are coring at an unsustainable rate, Spain has been allowing goals at a rate only surpassed by a handful of teams.

If you are still wary and wish to try before you buy, check out these options that could get you a free month of the DFS Army! You won’t be disappointed. The helmets on our crowded testimonials page on our site speak for themselves. We can make more room, though!

Croatia v Denmark

Croatia went and did it again. This team’s ability to take your best shot, absorb it, and give it back to you is pretty impressive. Luka Modric has been asked to play holding midfielder and also the distributor role. He has performed admirably in both and his usage on some set-pieces combine to make him a cash lock for me.  If Ante Rebic recovers from his knock in time, I like him in GPPs. Denmark has shown vulnerability to the attacking right.

Denmark’s offensive begins with Christian Eriksen. He is your cash play for Denmark and will touch the ball early and often. Denmark will be without one of the starting defensive midfielders in William Kvist and it will be interesting to see what they do to compensate for such an important loss. Croatia likes to press on defense so Sisto, with his ball control and speed, will be very much needed and I like him as a GPP play.

That’s all I wrote. Thanks for reading.  Non-members of the army have been granted a gift.
