England v Panama
England is a massive favorite and I expect them to flex their might against an overmatched Panamanian squad. Suffice to say, their back line is GPP and I would probably steer clear of anybody else on that side of the field.
England’s prospects start with Harry Kane. I love when a teams basic game plan directly matches their opponent’s weakness. It makes things so much easier. He is the lead forward on a massive favorite. Start there when making your cash lineups. In GPPs, you can use Kane or you can pivot to Marcus Rashford. He is expected to draw the start as the offense looked much better with him in.
Japan v Senegal
This match is for group H supremacy. I see some value in rostering pieces of Japan. I think they will go overlooked. Senegal pushes the pace, but their offensive aggressiveness leaves them open to counters. Hiroki Sakai is a cheap and solid cash play. He should be busy with Mane running at him all game. You will need to become a member to get my GPP take.
Sadio Mane is the Senegalese creator on offense. I expect that his upside gets capped a little bit. The Japanese manager likes to make a point of centering the defensive game plan against their opponents best player more so than other coaches. If you want shares of Mane, I would lean towards using him in cash. Ismaila Sarr is someone I would look at in GPP. If the defense is going to preoccupy themselves with Mane, give me the guy on the other side of the pitch.

Poland v Colombia
I didn’t think I would write up this match with these 2 teams at the bottom of the group H standings but here we are. Colombia is faltering without a healthy James Rodriguez. He got some work in but not a full load. They need him if Colombia wishes to right the ship. If he is not healthy, look for Juan Cuadrado to assume the playmaker role again. He would be a plug-n-play cash guy. If J-Rod is healthy, fire him up in all formats.
Poland needs to lock it down defensively. They don’t really have the horses to do that so they will need a lot of offense to offset their lack of defense. Robert Lewandowski is the man for the job and luckily for him he is in a prime spot to get involved. Colombia has shown an inability to close down opposing forwards. If you want to assume some risk I have another play in the hammer match but I think I will save it for the VIPs.
