Cleveland at Boston (+1.5)(205.5)

Golden State at Houston (-1.5)(224)

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone!  This will be my last article for NBA this year.  It has been awesome guys!  I will be transitioning into writing MLB content.  Also – We will be attacking WNBA this year.  I won’t be writing articles for it but we will be giving out projections and notes via Slack. Make sure to be in #WNBA!    Furthermore, we still have the Conference Finals and Finals to make money off of.  Bear and I will still be very active in Slack Coaching.  There is plenty of money to be made off these single game slates.  Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.

In this article, I will quickly cover the 2 game slate for both games 1s.  After that, I will address the single-game slate for today.

Point Guards

  1. Terry Rozier
  2. Chris Paul
  3. Steph Curry
  4. George Hill

Rotations are going to start to tighten up now.  It is extremely thin here.  Rozier will be the lower owned guy of the 3 studs at this position and I like him the best here.  He plays great at home and Cleveland can’t stop PGs.  I love Paul here as my 2nd option and I will be hard pressed to go any lower than that.  I don’t want to get cute at this position.  George Hill is the only salary saving option here.

Shooting Guards

  1. James Harden
  2. Marcus Smart
  3. Klay Thompson (Like him more on DK)
  4. Jaylen Brown
  5. JR Smith
  6. Kyle Korver

This position is deepest out of them all.  I like Harden here but if you can’t afford him don’t sweat it.  After Harden, I love Smart.  He’s cheap and is going to play tons of minutes.  Thompson is really appealing on DK and I even like him on FD.  He has had great success against the Rockets.  I do really like Jaylen Brown too but his price is hard to absorb.  I don’t mind paying up for him though and doing a combo of Thompson/Brown IF I have enough salary.  Otherwise, I will just pay down for Marcus Smart.  If you want some exposure to Cleveland – Grab Smith or Korver.  I prefer Smith by a hair.

Small Forwards

  1. Kevin Durant
  2. PJ Tucker
  3. Andre Iguodala
  4. Jayson Tatum
  5. Trevor Ariza
  6. Lebron James (I like him on DK, just too expensive on FD)

Durant is my top option at SF.  He has struggled a bit against Houston as they have designed their team around stopping KD.  However, his price is fair and he has 50+ upside everytime he hits the court.  PJ Tucker got a price bump and I don’t mind that.  He is playing out of his mind and will continue that in this series.  Playoff Andre is always in play if he remains under 5k.  Tatum is in the same spot as Brown.  A hefty price to pay but he is worth it if you find yourself left with that salary.  Ariza – I will only play if I absolutely have to.  I won’t be excited about it either.  If you want to play LBJ against Boston at 13.6k, go right ahead.  He is playable on DK.  I won’t touch that on FD.  Not when this slate is matched up with a 225 total game in Houston.  I’ll use my salary in that game.

Power Forwards

  1. Draymond Green
  2. Luc Mbah Moute
  3. Marcus Morris
  4. Kevon Looney
  5. Kevin Love

Whenever Draymond is on the slate I will just load him up.  He really should be 10k+.  He gets fantasy points in too many ways and it is too easy for him to get 50+.  He doesn’t even have to shoot the ball well.  The only thing that can stop him from getting there is foul trouble or ejection.  Next up – Luc Mbah Moute.  He was brought on for this series.  Play him at this price!  Marcus Morris is in a great spot as well but his ceiling doesn’t impress me.  He is hit or miss.  Kevon Looney is good for 15-20 minutes and 15-20 points.  I’d much rather grab Luc for cheaper.  I am going to wait for Kevin Love.  He has struggled tremendously against Boston.  At this position, I am pretty much Green/Luc.  I just list the other guys there for you so you have options.

Centers

  1. Al Horford
  2. Clint Capela

Don’t get cute here.  I like Al and then Capela is a close second.  If I can afford Capela I will.  I know people will be wondering about Baynes .  Hell, people might be wondering about NeNe.  Let’s not get cute guys!  This is more of a cash-type slate where we want to just build the bankroll.  You do not have to get cute to win money here.  Take the two guys you know will produce and move on.  JaVale “might” play but we won’t know.  I think he will but I’m not going to risk it.  NeNe sees 10 minutes and Thompson would match NeNe’s minutes.  I will take one of the 2 top options here and move on.  If you ABSOLUTELY must pay down – Baynes is your safest option.

Good Luck Gentleman!  Remember – Treat this as a cash type slate.  Don’t get overly cute and build some bankroll.
