EPL Breakdown Week 29
Rather than break the slate down from a DK point of view, Trey has power issues aka he wants the weekend off 😉 so I’ll give an overall look at who to watch out for. I’ll give my views on the games themselves and highlight some elite players and ones to watch.
Burnley vs Everton
With 1 win in their last 8 away games including 5 losses in the last 5 it’s safe to say Everton are struggling on the road. I see this being an incredibly dull and low scoring game with a draw a decent result for both sides. Set pieces could hold the key to any goals scored.
Elite plays:
None
Ones to Watch:
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson
Leicester vs Bournemouth
With both teams scoring in 4 out of the last 5 games for both teams this one should have goals a plenty with Leicester a solid home favourite.
Elite plays:
Jamie Vardy
Riyad Mahrez
Ones to Watch:
Junior Stanislas
Joshua King
Southampton vs Stoke
Two normally solid teams who have slid into relegation trouble this year. With one point between them in the table this will be a cagey affair and it’s hard to pinpoint where the fantasy points if any will come from. Again set piece takers could play a key role.
Elite plays:
James Ward-Prowse
Xherdan Shaqiri
Ones to Watch:
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting
Swansea vs West Ham
Another matchup between two struggling teams this season. Swansea are in much better form and at home. West Ham however do have some intriguing players who have fired at times this year.
Elite plays:
Marko Arnautovic
Ones to Watch:
Michail Antonio
Jordan Ayew
Tottenham vs Huddersfield
This should be a one sided affair the only risk is rotation for Spurs. If Harry Kane starts he is a stone cold lock for cash games. Look out for some value opening up on the Spurs side and feel pretty comfortable fading Huddersfield.
Elite Plays:
Harry Kane
Christian Eriksen
Deli Alli
Ones to Watch:
Mousa Dembele
Serge Aurier
Watford vs West Brom
5 straight losses sees West Brom normally a solid 40pt a year team dead bottom. They seem to have lost their way and no formations or lineups are helping. Watford got a big win against Everton last game and should feel confident at home in this one. I see a high potential for goals if West Brom adopt a nothing to lose attitude.
Elite Plays:
Troy Deeney
Richarlison
Ones to Watch:
Chris Brunt
Salomon Rondon
Liverpool vs Newcastle
A draw at home to Liverpool was one of the biggest results of Newcastles season. Do NOT expect a repeat of this at Anfield. Liverpool are in scintillating form with a comfortable lead in the Champions league they can afford to play their studs. Lock and load!
Elite Plays:
Mohammed Salah
Sadio Mane
Roberto Firmino
Ones to Watch:
Virgil Van Dijk
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain
