Binkit’s Bankers – EPL DFS Gameweek 27 for Draftkings

The main slate this week could be a low scoring affair with 7 out of 10 teams in the bottom half of the table. There could be a lot of turtling up hoping for a draw but in the Premier League truth is stranger than fiction. Below I’ll break down my favourite cash and gpp play from each game for Draftkings. Remember to check the lineups an hour before lock to confirm players availability.

Everton (LWDLL) vs Crystal Palace (DDLWW)

Everton has something to prove in this one after an absolute trouncing from Arsenal last Sunday.  I expect to see Gylfi Sigurdsson back in the lineup and this could be the key to this game. Palace are in decent form with 2 wins and 2 draws in the last 5 and a point away from home would be considered a good result for them. This is particularly the case now their star Wilfried Zaha is confirmed out for the weekend and I’m likely fading their offense.

Cash play:

Gylfi Sigurdsson $7,600

Switched out wide with a large share of set pieces he put up a solid 13.8 with one assist and 7 crosses last time out. He’s also forward eligible for those looking for an alternative to Aguero and KDB.

GPP play:

Oumar Niasse, $6,000

Oumar is a high-risk play as he doesn’t usually play the full 90. I think the delivery will be there from the wings with Gylfi and Walcott and he could be a candidate for a goal or two. People will naturally gravitate to Rooney in the number 10 spot which could leave him low owned.

Others to consider:

Coleman $5,100, Townsend $7,400

Stoke (LDWLL) vs Brighton (WDLLD)

Despite being away from home I don’t mind targeting Brighton players in this one. Stoke are leaking goals this year with a league-high 52 conceded and Brighton put up 3 last time out. This is a real relegation 6 pointer.

Cash play:

Pascal Gross $7,500

Normally Shaqiri would be a lock for my cash spot in this game but at $9,200 it’s a bit of a reach for a player who can burn you by being subbed off early. Gross is coming off the back of a dominant 27pt display last week and at a much more affordable price.

GPP play:

Shaqiri $9,200

For the reasons listed above, I think Shaqiri will be low owned this week especially with Man City on the slate. Load him up in GPP as a nice pivot.

Others to consider:

Choupo-Moting $6,300, Knockaert $5,200

Swansea(DWWDL) vs Burnley (DDLLL)

This one has 0-0 written all over it and I’m really not that interested in this game outside of set-piece takers and fullbacks. This means it’s guaranteed to be a 6 goal thriller in which a game stack wins somebody a GPP.

Cash play:

Johann Berg Gudmundsson $7,100

He’s the only real viable option in this game outside of the fullbacks but temper expectations away from home against a resilient Swansea side.

GPP play:

Jordan Ayew $5,900

With 3 goals in his last 6 appearances. Jordan Ayew has played a big part in Swansea’s result run of results. One goal would be enough to hit value which is good as I don’t see much chance of a brace against Burnley’s stout defence. Reminder to be careful as there are 2 Ayew brothers on Swansea’s team priced within $100 of each other.

Others to consider:

Naughton $4,400

West Ham (LDDWD) vs Watford (WDLDL)
Finally a game full of potential. With a number of injuries and the emergence of Jao Mario, West Ham is an intriguing position. Watford, however, is coming off the back of an impressive victory over last years champions. I expect to have a lot of exposure to both teams in GPP.

Cash play:

Gerard Deulofeu $5,800

Apparently thrilled to of traded Barcelona for Watford, he put up 19 last game. Slotting in nicely to his new role and taking over a share of set pieces. He provides some salary relief at either the midfield or forward slot.

GPP play:

Michail Antonio $6,400

He’s not reaching the heights of last season so far due to some niggling injuries. If he starts, however, a fit Antonio is a force of nature that has 2 goal upside coming up against Watford.

Others to consider:

Zeegelar $3,800, Joao Mario $7,500, Cresswell $5,500

Manchester City (DWWLW) vs Leicester City (DLWDW)

Leaky Leicester comes up against the dominant Manchester City. Some people might be a bit put off after only 2 wins in the last 4 for City but trust me when I say they are capable of putting 4+ in the net this week. You’ll have to pay for your exposure though.

Cash play:

Kevin De Bruyne $12,100

The undisputed king of cash on this slate is KDB. The ginger-haired genius has one of the most solid floors in soccer. He will, however, cost you a pretty penny this week and it will be a tough decision to pay up or go with a more balanced approach. He and Aguero are both elite options and should be highly considered in all your lineups.

GPP play:

Nicolas Otamendi $4,900

The centre back has shown an eye for goal this year and makes an interesting stack with KDB, it’s a high-risk high reward play and should be reserved for larger field GPPs.

Others to consider:

Zinchenko $4,900, B Silva $7,700

As always all goalkeepers are in play and may your screens be green!
