Saturday LCS NA 7/13

Welcome back to the wonderful world of eSports DFS on Draftkings.  I hope that you all enjoyed a great NBA season, and have transitioned into a wonderful MLB season.  If you are looking for another sport to enjoy I always recommend eSports as it was built for DFS.  High scores and lots of actions just make watching your players fun.

I am going to be changing up how I cover the slates this season because life has gotten a bit crazy for me.  I will be doing a write up on the teams I feel deserve to be talked about.  Either from the fade or play side of the coin.

Before the Breakdown

I hope you enjoy this free breakdown of the LCS NA slate, and I hope you keep coming back for more and more fun.  If you find yourself enjoying this write-up, I suggest you check out the rest of what the DFS Army offers.  We have a top notch MLB team, which is lead by Keith (boomersdaddy) who you may know qualified for a live final recently.

There is also great coverage of Nascar, MMA, and PGA both with the Domination Station, and Slack chat.  Do not wait to join, as we are gearing up for a great NFL season.  Join today and use the code “WIN” and you can try out everything VIP for a week free.  Don’t delay, click today.

For me, the best way to win at LoL is the team stack.  When you are wrong on the team or teams you stack you lose. The nice thing is when you are right you win and win bigger almost every time.  The best way to first place is the team stack.

Joining the Rift

Welcome back all you LCS NA loving fools.  I hope you enjoyed Rift Rivals, as I enjoyed the weekend off from worrying about DFS and LoL and just focused on being a fan.  As much as I love DFS and love the edge it adds to watching the sport, sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and root on your team.  I picked TSM to root for all week and they did not disappoint. Now however I am ready to turn it on and have a great ending to the split.

For top dollar we get to pick from FLY, TSM, CLG, and C9.  The bottom half starts with Envy, DIG, P1, and finally TL at the bottom.  The matches are Fly/TL, TSM/P1, CLG/DIG, and C9/nV.

The Top Half

I do not want to pay for FLY at the top price.  That does not mean you cannot win with them.  I simply do not want to play a team who has been crap just because the match up makes up for it.  This is a spot where TL could just as easily figure it out and pull off a win.  FLY should win this match, and could easily 2-0 giving the bonus points to help pay for salary.  If you love one of the lower cost teams and can fit FLY in a stack go for it.  If you have a little cash and want to use it, go for it.

TSM just had a great week, and should be able to ride that into a match against P1.  This should be a win by TSM and their price tag is usable.  I do not have a lot to add…it’s TSM they are 7-3 and 4-1 in split play over the last 5.  P1 is running hotter though and has gone 3-2 the last 5 to boost their total split record to 3-7

CLG is leading the pack, but I actually like DIG here more.  CLG is a fine play, but I think DIG is the best value option.  If you do not use DIG for value however, I see no reason to not use CLG. They have been scoring well and are 4-1 in their last 5 so they are remembering how to win.

C9 is bottom priced stud, which if you read me often is my favorite spot to play from.  It has not been working as well this split, but it has worked well for me in the past.  C9 gets to face Nv who is not playing consistent.  This is a fine option to go with if you think nV is going to flake.  If you do not go C9 a great lineup option would be to stack CLG/nV and let it ride.

The Bottom Half

We just covered C9 and I kind of gave away nV’s pitch a little.  I personally do not try and figure out nV because I am never right.  Envy is my team, and that voice inside my head is never right.  They win when I think they will lose and they lose in matches I would bet the house on that they should win.  Against C9 who has gone 4-1 in its last 5, nV should lose.  They are 2-3 in last 5, and just have not played like a winning team.  So use that info and decide.  Again I do like them with the CLG stack.

Dig may seem like a bad play, and that is probably because on paper they are. Sure Dig started off the split on fire, but that turned quickly into a dumpster fire as they have gone 1-4 in last 5.  That puts them at a solid 5-5 for the split, which really is not something you want to be after starting 4-1. Still I like the fact that they could bring me value.  If they do pull off the win they will do so against an opponent who is gonna make it bloody. HIGH RISK, high reward play right here.

The safest play from the bottom is probably not P1, but I could see it working.  TSM just had a big week, they might not show up ready to play. P1 has a lot to prove still and has been playing its best in split play all season the last couple weeks. Still a rough one to pick up.

TL has not been a team to play much, and this is a match where if it was not for their price tag we would probably want to fade them completely.  Still FLY is not a top team (they only have 1 more win than TL) so why not? TL is a great value play, but that still comes with risk.

That’s A Wrap

Seriously as much as I am a fan of the stack play, this seems like a slate where you can get away with doing the super cheap player here and there and just load as many studs as you can.  This split has not given us an easy slate to pick, and this slate feels wrong to team stack.  Not a single value looks good on paper.

Now is the time to get involved in the eSports DFS on Draftkings.  If you have not yet gotten into the fun, find me in Slack, and let me fill you in on everything you will need to know.
