eSports Acing – Saturday 2-11 Matches

eSports Acing 2/4/17 Breakdown

Last week, I had another great slate with Sunday going very well.  I played 2 lineups on Sunday. My main was a P1 stack that did not do so well, but my secondary lineup had a solid showing.  The 2nd lineup focused on CLG for value, which was something I called out in my notes as a great play.  This is your weekend, so I suggest you keep on reading for some of my breakdowns.

If you have never played DFS on Draftkings, but love your League of Legends, I have a great deal for you.  Use the link on the right side under “Featured Sites.”  Once you deposit you will gain a free month of DFS Army VIP, which will get you everything eSports, NBA, Domination Station (a top notch optimizer), Slack (which gives you direct access to EVERY coach).  If you have questions, as a VIP member you get DIRECT access to the coaches as well as all other members who share your same interest.

The Team Breakdown

This is one of those slates where you could really use a coin and win by flipping and having it hit the right match. There are a few different teams stacks that are in play.  I built 7 different combinations I liked when giving this slate my first look.  Personally, I will only use two lineups, but you could really do some multi-entry goodness on this slate.  I am not going to have player notes this week, and instead will just be doing a team overall breakdown.  This is a week where you pick 2 teams and stack them.  The only exception to this for me is TSM’s Hauntzer.  The teams we are going to stack do not all have the best Top players, so using Hauntzer could be a great way to be different.

TSM Facing Envy

I will not be using any nV because I do not want to take the chance of nV getting handled by TSM.  Envy is looking better, but TSM is not just any other team.  For this match, I would say TSM is in play, and their price for a stud team is actually not bad if you wanted to do a short stack of TSM players.  Jungler and Tops are a great way to get a bit of exposure without busting the bank.

Team Liquid Matching Immortals

I have not been a big fan of IMT all split.  The team is not the same, and IMT is not a powerhouse this split.  I will say TL is worth the look, at a slightly reduced price.  I think you will get a stud team like TSM with a lower salary cap hit.  You could make an argument for IMT as a value, but I will not be going that way.  Use TL players, and fade IMT.  The only exception the IMT fade for me would be to use Flame as a top in a 1 of.  He will give you some value and allows for a little more stud focus.

Phoenix 1 Against FLY

This is one of the first matches of focus for us.  The only real question is who do you play? Fly or P1? Well the right answer is probably whichever team wins.  The problem is figuring out who will win.  I am just not sure who we can count on either one to win.  There is also the possibility for a whole game stack, with us grabbing say Haunt for the Top.  One thing I would do if building a lineup with one of the teams is to build a 2nd lineup with the other team. This is going to be a very decided match when it comes to DFS win or lose.  Hopefully, you have the right side.

CLG Matching Fox

Another great match for us, but a giant coin flip.  I personally think CLG is the winning team, so if forced to pick just one team it would be CLG.  Still, I like the way Fox has played, even if they have not been wins.  I am pretty sure that Fox is one of my favorite teams to root on and watch on the tube.  I am going to focus on FOX Top, JNG, and MID. The whole team could be in play, but those are the best bet to have big scores.

There is a chance this does not go to all 3 games, but if it does or doesn’t I like CLG to benefit the most.  Their price is not anywhere near stud level thanks to some of their previous play.  This should still be a match where CLG gets big scores.

The Final Teams

Overall this really is a coin flip match where there is no clear-cut winner in most of the games.  The ones where we have the largest chance to go fast are TSM and sort of TL.  The next 2 matches are complete guesswork, so build your stacks both ways.  Have fun this weekend folks, I will be back with a much more normal write up soon.
