Last Shot at NBA before ASB! NBA DFS 2 Game Slate Breakdown

Here we go!  Last slate before we have nothing to do for a week!  So for these 2 game slates, I really prefer to do a Multi-Entry approach.  This is where the domination station really comes in handy.  I will make my personal lineup, enter it in about 3-5 GPPs and then use the DS and mass enter into the big GPP on Fanduel/DK.  Whichever one you prefer.  Depending on your bankroll, one thing I do recommend if you are new at mass entering lineups is to try the quarter arcade out.  You can mass enter into that, and it will cost you $37.50.  You get practice doing MME and have a very good chance of getting some of your investment back.

I will just be covering these 2 games and how I think each will play out in constructing my main lineup.  I’ll tell you right now though, on FD I plan on running 100% of Giannis/Butler due to the weakness in SFs tonight.  The sheer raw points is too much for me to want to start my roster construction anywhere else.  On DK, I’d be running ABC 100%.  I will not be fading him.

Denver at Milwaukee(-2.5)(214)

These two teams really don’t have a huge sample size of playing one another.  So it’s hard to take into consideration recent game logs.  Let’s look break it down another way.  These 2 teams actually match up very well with one another.

Bledsoe vs Murray:

For some reason, people think Bledsoe is a bad defender.  Well, he isn’t.  He is ranked the same as Russell Westbrook.  He is an aggressive defender that gets into foul trouble, and sometimes gets him into trouble for going for steals, but he is not a bad defender at all.  He has given Jamal Murray fits in the past.  However, this was when Murray saw limited minutes.  Murray has admitted to discomfort with his chest injury.  I like Bledsoe to take advantage of Murray in this matchup breaking his rhythm and earning steals.  Bledsoe is in play for me.  Murray is not.

Gary Harris and Will Barton:

Both are great options tonight and will be guarded by Tony Snell and Khris Middleton for the majority of the game.  Both are below average defenders.  Will Barton is a little over-priced on FD tonight, and he is more of a player that can create his own shot.  With that said – this game will feature a lot of top of the key screens with Jokic, and using Jokic as a facilitator.  Murray will need to shred Bledsoe off of him.  Gary Harris is a great off the ball player and 3 point shooter.  This plays into favor with Jokic being able to distribute the ball to Gary Harris.  Jokic and Gary have a positive correlation and if I were to choose between Harris and Barton I would go with Harris.  Barton needs to kind of “take over” to get to where he wants to be while Gary Harris just has to play his normal game.  If you can fit both, that is a great option as well.

Tony Snell / Sterling Brown / Khris Middleton / Devin Harris:

Tony Snell is one of those players that will play 30 minutes and do nothing.  That doesn’t change tonight.  Sterling Brown is the better player, and if you are punting at this price go with Brown.  He will only see 15-20 minutes though, but could cash in on a few quick threes.  Khris Middleton will see Gary Harris tonight so I won’t be rostering him.  Devin Harris is actually my favorite punt play tonight.  The former Wisconsin Badger might see extra minutes if Murray struggles.  He could get anywhere from 15-25 minutes at damn near minimum price.

Giannis/Chandler:

Giannis will be smothering Chandler.  ABC is a great defender.  One of the best in the league.  No Thanks.  I am going all in on Giannis tonight.  He has the highest ceiling.

Lyles/Parker:

If I were to pick between these two, I would pick Parker.  People see that minute restriction and automatically get turned off.  Well, comparing these 2 they both are only going to play 20 minutes.  Lyles will see ABC/Parker defense.  ABC has a rotation that he leaves the first 6 minutes of the 1st quarter, then he will come back and most likely be matched up with Lyles a lot.  I will have exposure to Parker, and only will pay for Lyles on DK where he is 4400.

JOKIC/Maker/Zeller:

Jokic is my favorite center tonight.  The bucks get eaten alive vs centers.  The offense will run through the Joker tonight and he will be feasting on the glass.  If I had to choose between Maker and Zeller, I would go with Zeller.  Zeller has a higher upside, as Maker actually has a hidden minute restriction of 25.  He is a project within the Bucks Organization, and they will only run him out there for more than 20-25 minutes if it is an absolute emergency.  Zeller also matches up better with Jokic and I could see the minutes for Zeller climbing up to almost 25+.

Lakers at Wolves (-10)(227)

The last time these two teams met, the Wolves handled them mightily.  There was garbage time.  Lakers are on a b2b and have been flying all over the US.  I think this outcome will be a blowout.  With that said, let’s dive into the matchups.

Thomas/Teague/Jones:

I’m going to start by saying I think Thomas should be in your core on DK.  He is cheap.  I don’t like him, but that price is hard to ignore.  Thomas is a terrible defender and will be on Teague most of the game.  Teague should have his way with him.  Teague is also not a very good defender, so if Thomas starts lighting him up Teague could see his minutes be stolen by Tyus Jones.  Tyus Jones is a premier defender.  Thibs has done this several times this season.  If you want a cheap sneaky PG tonight, Jones is your man.  If you believe this game is going to be competitive, load up on Teague.  I will have some exposure to Teague but not a lot.

WIGGINS/POPE/CRAWFORD

Pope has a low usage rate on this Laker Squad so I don’t feel comfortable paying for him at his price point.  Wiggins went off against the Lakers last meeting, but that was without Pope on the floor.  I don’t want to roster either of these players, as my roster construction is going to try to save salary at the SG position.  This is where Crawford comes in.  If this game is going to truly be a blowout, Crawford will have a huge part in it.  When he comes in with the 2nd unit, and starts pouring more points on the board, this game will truly get out of hand.  He is another one of my favorite punt plays along with Devin Harris

Butler/Ingram:

I have no interest rostering Ingram vs Butler.  Butler is one of my locks tonight.  He has the highest floor on the board for me tonight and if he adds a bunch of steals/blocks he could get to 50-60.  Minnesota tends to play most of their players even in a blowout so he will still see 4th quarter minutes, just not closing the game out minutes.

KUZMA/GIBSON/DIENG:

I won’t be rostering a lot of Kuzma, but if you think this game is going to be close he is going to be the reason why.  If that happens he could easily get 50 points.  If you aren’t jumping on board with the blowout game theory, you need to fire up Kuzma.  Gibson is a steady player, and his price is low.  He has the highest projection value on the slate and is extremely safe.  He will see 30+ minutes.  Dieng is a pure punt play.  He is your garbage time guy.  He will only see 20 minutes if there is garbage time or Towns gets into foul trouble.  Only in a 2 game slate would I consider him.  On ten lineups, I’ll have 1 Dieng to give you an idea of where I am with him.

RANDLE/TOWNS/LOPEZ:

Towns has done very well in this match-up when the game has stayed close and is an excellent pivot off of Jokic.  If this game stays close, he will easily break 50, and possibly 60 with how the pace is going to be.  I have no interest in Julius Randle tonight.  His price seems a bit high on both sites, and he hasn’t had success vs the Twolves.  Only 1 game over 40 in the last 2 years.  I won’t be paying for Lopez tonight on FD, but he is worth a shot on DK.  I’d rather just go down to Zeller though.

Good Luck Everyone!  I’ll be in #The-Loose-Goose-NBA prior to lock.
