Kickin it on the Pitch w/ TreyJ – Gameweek 14 EPL DFS for Fanduel and Draftkings

How are you doing with this quick-hitting soccer schedule?  Are you able to keep up with it?  Are you being profitable? If you answered “no” or “not well” to any of those questions, you should really think about the DFS Army.  What we do is make the research a one-stop shop and provide access to pros, coaches, and like-minded individuals who help you get to where they already are.

If this is your first time playing or if you are wondering how you can balance your research for the premier league with your research for NFL, NBA, NHL, and more; then you need to enlist with us and we will help you with that knowledge. Each week, we will provide many stats and game odds, inside our VIP team sheets, designed to help you understand what a team is trying to accomplish.

The DFS Army NFL Research Station just dropped and it’s pure fire. It’s complete with everything you need to crush NFL DFS, so this is literally THE time to join.  NBA has been crushing so far and the Domination Station is locked, loaded, and pumping out winners every night. Don’t sleep on the ever so popular slack chat where you have access to industry pros and specific DFS coaches. That is where the magic happens. Use promo code GOAL for 20% off your lifetime subscription ($28/mo after discount) and start taking your DFS game to the next level!

I could recycle some screenshots and show you wins in recent weeks but they happen so often that I don’t have to.  Here is a big win from the Milly Maker on Sunday.

If you are still wary and wish to try before you buy, check out these options that could get you a free month of the DFS Army! You won’t be disappointed. The testimonials on our home page speak for themselves.

Each week I will break down the biggest games of the weeks so you can find your cash and core players.  I will even throw in some GPP plays.  Let’s see what Gameweek 14 has left in store for us after a profitable start to the week.

Arsenal v Huddersfield

Unlike yesterday, there are a lot of perceived goals on this slate.  The totals are higher and there is no better place to start looking than right here.  The transfer talks are starting to heat up again the closer we get to January.  That means we should see more and more of the real Alexis Sanchez.  I am all in.  Huddersfield has conceded almost as many shots to forwards as shots to midfielders on the road (27 to 29).  Arsenal will funnel their shot attempts through Sanchez and Lacazette, who makes for a decent GPP option.  One thing I want to add before moving on is that Huddersfield is top 3 in set-piece goals conceded on the road and Arsenal shares the top spot in set-piece goals scored at home.

Manchester City v Southampton

Man City write-up is right on cue. What I notice when looking at game logs and the usual research is Southampton has an issue defending their right side.  When delving into who actually scores against Southampton when they travel, I find the damage is typically done by midfielders.  Putting this together, we want to attack Southampton from the attacking left and from the midfield.  This puts my favorite targets from this game at Leroy Sane and David Silva.  We know that City is the ultimate GPP squad with how much they score and how many players get in on the scoring, but this is an expensive slate with 3 of the top 6 sides playing at home and you are going to have to make some concessions in who you play and which teams you attack.

Bournemouth v Burnley

Looking at the implied goal totals and the odds, they want you to believe that Bournemouth should win this match.  I will respectfully disagree because Burnley has been the better offensive team and the better defensive team.  Bournemouth had an amazing game against a bad defense.  Let recency bias play out.  The better team is Burnley and they have been adept at earning points on the road this season.

Going through the numbers, it looks like I would want to use midfielders in this match.  They seem the most likely to do damage.  Burnley still seems to let up on the defensive right side when on the road.   Bournemouth could see trouble come their way from the right. I will say that this could be a nice game for Robbie Brady in your cash lineups, but I like this game for GPP, too. You can find my picks for it in our slack chat.

Best of the Rest

There are some solid cash plays available and that is what this section will focus on.

  • Philippe Coutinho, LIV – Overall numbers bear this out as a solid cash play.  Stoke has given up 15 goals on the road and 9 have come from midfielders.  He has a high floor due to running the Liverpool offense.

  • Cesc Fabregas, CHE – He came on as a sub over the weekend so I think he will start and get the majority of set pieces.  I would expect he would even get forward to run late into attacks.

  • Jonjoe Kenny, EVE – Very solid cash play. He will do a bit of everything you need but put the ball in the net.  With Baines out, someone else will need to be the presence out of the back, too.

Between the Sticks

Here are my choices for GPP Goalkeeper.  If you are a regular reader of mine, then you know I like going for the saves.  I think this is a week where I shoot for that on DK, too.  If I happen to get the W, then yay bonus.

  1. Jordan Pickford, EVE – I like goalkeepers who are not on a big favorite club and in a good spot.  You get them cheaper but with win upside.
  2. Nick Pope, BUR – Burnley gives up a lot of shots on the road.  That could mean a lot of saves thanks to an opponent who has a 44% shot on target percentage in their last 3 games.
  3. Lukasz Fabianski, SWA – I don’t normally go against Chelsea due to their conversion rate, but the increased shots and a defense that might keep the game from getting out of hand is enough for me to give this another glance.

If you read this article and you said “Wow, these stats are cool. I didn’t know that before.”, then know that they are only the tip of the iceberg and there is so much more inside our VIP team sheets.  You will find massive stats and our new defense-by-position chart, as well as my player picks, and more.  Join us and take your game to the next level. See you in slack and good luck in your contests!
