Kickin it on the Pitch w/ TreyJ – Gameweek 12 EPL DFS for Draftkings and Fanduel

Busy.  That is the word of the week.  The schedule is about to get…busy.  We have matchweek 12 starting tomorrow, followed by Champions/Europa League action, matchweek 13, matchweek 14, and matchweek 15 over the next week.  There will be a lot of tired bodies.  I have beefed up the VIP team sheets ahead of this matchup with some new goodies to help you on your path to cracking the beautiful fantasy game.

If this is your first time playing or if you are wondering how you can balance your research for the premier league with your research for NFL, NBA, NHL, and more; then you need to enlist in the DFS Army and we will help you with that knowledge. Each week, we will provide many stats and game odds, inside our VIP team sheets, designed to help you understand what a team is trying to accomplish.

The DFS Army NFL Research Station just dropped and it’s pure fire. It’s complete with everything you need to crush NFL DFS, so this is literally THE time to join.  NBA just started and the Domination Station is locked, loaded, and pumping out winners every night. Each week I will break down the biggest games of the weeks so you can find your cash and core players.  I will even throw in some GPP plays.  Let’s see what Gameweek 12 has in store for us.

Liverpool v Southampton

Liverpool will be glad to get back home and I think they are likely to get Mane back in the starting XI.  He has to pass a late fitness test but I think he will play. Champions league is this week and, coming off the injury, I do not expect him to go 90.  In addition to Mane, I think Henderson, if he starts, will also be at risk for rotation.  This means that there is one sub to go around for Coutinho, Firmino, and Salah (or the defense, I suppose).  If I am picking one of these guys to take a seat early, I would think Firmino, but he is a good shout in GPPs.  On this slate, Southampton has given up the 2nd most goals to forwards while on the road. Coutinho and Salah make solid options for cash lineups, if you want to pay up that much for them.

Leicester v Manchester City

Yup, here comes the obligatory City portion of the writeup.  You can pretty much recycle anything I have ever written, but I will add this one caveat. I am not on Aguero or Jesus this week.  Pricing is a little tougher this week so you have to take a stand.  Leicester has given up 5 goals to midfielders in 5 matches at home. I am coming up with Kevin De Bruyne as my favorite play from the City side of things.  He makes a solid play in all formats. On the other side of the pitch, I believe that City won’t keep a clean, but I don’t think we need to go there on a 7 game slate.

Crystal Palace v Everton

This is an intriguing game. Much like what happened last season, Palace got a boost from getting back their energizer, Wilfried Zaha.  This year, his return really filled the void left by Benteke’s injury.  Now, Zaha gets to move back a little bit to make room for Benteke’s return.  I like Zaha quite a bit, as Everton has given up the 2nd most road shots and most road goals to midfielders, on this slate.  Cabaye has 27 crosses and 22 corners in his last 3 games.  Did I mention this is a pace up situation? Use Cabaye for cash and Zaha for GPP. Zaha’s price will keep people away due to all the studs on the slate.

For Everton, this matchup lines up well. Palace has given up goals to forwards and that’s who scores for Everton.  Palace is tied with West Brom for most goals yielded to forwards.  The interesting part to combine with this stat is that Palace has given up the 2nd least shots to forwards, so only use them as GPP options. We’ll have to see who starts, so join us in slack for more on this game, and the others.

Best of the Rest

There are some solid cash plays available and that is what this section will focus on.

  • Jay Rodriguez, WBA – Chelsea has a brutal midweek match and they are nursing a few injuries. I could see them playing rather defensively and trying to maintain some energy through a tough stretch of the schedule.

  • Robbie Brady, BUR – At home in a pace up situation for his game. Hopefully, Burnley doesn’t go up early since Burnley is more than comfortable sitting on a 1-0 lead.

  • Hadergjonaj, HUD – He does a little bit of everything in a game that should be back and forth.

Between the Sticks

Here are my choices for Goalkeeper.  If you are a regular reader of mine, then you know I like going for the saves.  I think this is a week where I shoot for that on DK, too.  If I happen to get the W, then yay bonus.

  1. Nick Pope, BUR – Burnley’s defense is staunch at home.  If they get a lead, they will force Swansea to come after them.

  1. Begovic, BOU – Even though they haven’t gotten the results, Bournemouth plays faster at home. In a pace up situation for Huddersfield, Begovic should see an increased workload

.

  1. Kasper Schmeichel, LEI – You must think I am out of my mind for putting him on this list.  This game seems like it sets up to be rather lower scoring than we are used to for Man City. You can’t rule out a typical City performance; but, if they only score a couple goals, and you aren’t looking for the win necessarily, there is some massive save potential here.  GPP only, please…if you dare.

If you read this article and you said “Wow, these stats are cool. I didn’t know that before.”, then know that they are only the tip of the iceberg and there is so much more inside our VIP team sheets.  You will find massive stats and our new defense-by-position chart, as well as my player picks, and more.  Join us and take your game to the next level. See you in slack and good luck in your contests!
