PITCHERS:
Chris Sale (@TB)
Excellent numbers against the Rays, especially this season: 4-1, 2.06 ERA in five starts this season, with 57 Ks in 35 innings… Current members of the Rays are hitting a combined .212 with 10 XBH (5 HR) against Sale in 225 at-bats, while striking out at a whopping 36% rate… Rays also own the highest K-rate (27.7%) this month
Robbie Ray (@SF)
Gets the benefit of pitching in the league’s worst hitting park in MLB… 36 Ks in his last 20.1 innings of work… 7-1, 1.34 ERA in 12 road starts this season… 1-0, 2.19 ERA in two starts vs SF this season: 14 Ks, 3 ER in 12.1 innings of work.
Luis Severino (vs BAL)
Yankees are massive -290 favorites in Vegas… At least 8 Ks in eight of his last nine starts and the Orioles own the third-highest K-rate (25.9%) in September… 2-0, 2.95 ERA in three starts vs BAL this season: 22 Ks, 6 ER in 18.1 innings… Orioles have a league-low wRC+ (64) in September
Trevor Bauer (vs KC)
Has won five-straight decisions, and is now 9-1 with a 3.03 ERA in 12 appearances/11 starts since the All-Star break… Oh yes, don’t forget the Indians have plenty of motivation to keep their 22-game winning streak alive
Jose Urena (vs MIL, game is in Milwaukee)
I’ve been talking up this guy for a while now and it’s good to see him turning into a solid pitcher, although, I wish the strikeouts would come more often… 6-3, 3.71 ERA in 11 starts since the All-Star break… Brewers are tied for the second-highest K-rate (26.6%) in September
Mark Leiter Jr (vs OAK)
Massive home/road splits that favor his situation tonight… A’s have the seventh-highest K-rate (24.1%) since the beginning of September
STACKS:
Chicago White Sox (@DET, Anibal Sanchez – R)
The White Sox have a great history against Sanchez… Three of the four leaders in hits over the last seven days are White Sox (J. Abreu, A. Garcia, T. Anderson)
Colorado Rockies (vs SD, Clayton Richard – L)
The Rockies have a great history against Richard and they’ll be at the best hitting park in MLB
New York Yankees (vs BAL, Gabriel Ynoa – R)
Ynoa is relatively unknown, but the Yanks have crushed Orioles pitching all season… Yanks have the second-highest IRT (5.8) and the biggest IRT increase (0.5)
Philadelphia Phillies (vs OAK, Daniel Mengden – R)
The bats are on fire, coming off a three-game sweep of the Marlins where they scored 27 runs
Pittsburgh Pirates (vs CIN, Homer Bailey – R)
They are very inexpensive on both sites and get the benefit of hitting in a great park

Wil Myers (@COL)
7-for-19, 5 XBH (2 HR) vs Chatwood

Unfortunately batting ninth in the Yanks lineup, but he is $2300 on FD and his teammates should be able to turn the lineup over enough times to get him four at-bats

Yoan Moncada (@DET)
Huge day yesterday, batting second in a lineup poised for an even bigger night

11-for-27, 8 XBH (3 HR) over the last seven games
Tim Anderson (@DET)
14-for-35, 3 XBH (1 HR) vs Sanchez
Freddy Galvis, JP Crawford (vs OAK)
Crawford is much more affordable ($2400) on FD, but this whole Phillies lineup should hit tonight
