NA LCS Championship – Team SoloMid vs. Immortals

Vegas

Vegas expects a close match with a good chance of going the full 5 games.  They’re very closely priced on DK so you can go either way or stack both teams if you think the EU series is a low scoring 3-0.

Team SoloMid

The defending NA LCS champs are in familiar territory as they’ve never missed the finals.  TSM has the quickest games on average as they’re used to stomping teams quickly.  This was the case last time they played Immortals, but that was several months ago in the very beginning of the split.

TSM is led by their star mid laner Bjergsen who is the clear leader in FP output and is almost always the highest owned player.  He’ll be followed closely in ownership by their ADC Doublelift and Support Mithy.  Their Top laner Hauntzer is usually very good but had been slumping as of late.  He’s turned things around in his last few games, and the patch they’re playing on is very strong for top laners.

Pick priority: Bjergsen>Doublelift>Biofrost>Hauntzer>Svenskeren

Immortals

Immortals vs CLG was supposed to be close but it was a beatdown of massive proportions.  Their toplaner Flame went off, and that should lead to a bump in ownership for him over the likes of Hauntzer.  Pobelter and CodySun are the clear must-haves if they do beat TSM but all of their position players are capable of putting up big numbers- even their Support Olleh who tends to pick high involvement Champions like Bard and Thresh.

Pick priority: Pobelter>CodySun>Flame=Xsmithie=Olleh

EU LCS Championship – G2 vs. Misfits

Vegas

G2 is expected to stomp Misfits, but it’s implied they’ll likely steal 1 game.

G2

The defending EU LCS champions took a step back this split, playing second fiddle to FNC.  Now that FNC has choked once again, G2 is expected to steal yet another championsip.  G2 is very objective and farming based so they don’t score too much in general, but against a weaker team they might flex some muscle on the big stage.  I do like them in the Team slot since they’re so focused on locking down dragons and barons.

G2 is led by their star ADC Zven who should be picked over Mid laner Perkz.  The mid lane isn’t quite as strong in this patch and ADC has become the central point of the team.  As a rule of thumb you generally want to stack Zven with his support Mithy, but every G2 player is a viable option.  Their jungler Trick had a spectacular game against Misfits last time and most of the other junglers in this slate are unimpressive. Top laner Expect’s main picks Cho’Gath and Jarvan are super strong in this patch.

Pick priority: Zven>Trick=Mithy=Expect=Perkz

Misfits

with the NA teams being close in salary there probably isn’t much reason to use Misfit players, but PowerOfEvil is the exception.  He’s their superstar and if they steal any games it’s gonna be on the back of their prize German.  If you need to just punt, you can take Ignar at $4,400 but in a best-of-5 format it’s probably better to punt the team slot and hope MSF can get some first bloods or objectives.

Pick priority: PowerOfEvil>Hans sama>Alphari>Ignar>Maxlore
