Saturday LCS NA 7/29

Welcome back to the wonderful world of eSports DFS on Draftkings.  I hope that you all enjoyed a great NBA season, and have transitioned into a wonderful MLB season.  If you are looking for another sport to enjoy I always recommend eSports as it was built for DFS.  High scores and lots of actions just make watching your players fun.

I am going to be changing up how I cover the slates this season because life has gotten a bit crazy for me.  I will be doing a write up on the teams I feel deserve to be talked about.  Either from the fade or play side of the coin.

Before the Breakdown

I hope you enjoy this free breakdown of the LCS NA slate, and I hope you keep coming back for more and more fun.  If you find yourself enjoying this write-up, I suggest you check out the rest of what the DFS Army offers.  We have a top notch MLB team, which is lead by Keith (boomersdaddy) who you may know qualified for a live final recently.

There is also great coverage of Nascar, MMA, and PGA both with the Domination Station, and Slack chat.  Do not wait to join, as we are gearing up for a great NFL season.  Join today and use the code “WIN” and you can try out everything VIP for a week free.  Don’t delay, click today.

Joining the Rift

This split has been filled with a lot of challenges.  The hardest part has been the constant subbing from teams and often with little to no notice.  Make sure when building your lineups to keep in mind the fact that zeros will happen. The other day I took a zero on a person 33% owned in a GPP.  This split for me has been hard, mostly because I have either built a bad lineup or built a great line up with 1 player subbed out. It has honestly happened more this split than all other splits combined.

Alphadrafts (the best site that no longer exists, used to have you pick the player and get points for subs.  I really hope that Draftkings changes if the sub trend continues into future splits (which based on the way teams are being built now could easily continue).  In other sports, this is not as big of an issue because we are given more notice and information.  We know the risks, but in LoL, there is almost never any information that a sub could play.  Something to just keep in mind.

For the top dollar, we get to pick from TSM, C9, CLG, IMT.  The bottom half starts with DIG, nV, TL,  and finally FLY at the bottom.  The matches are TSM/FLY, C9/TL, CLG/nV, and IMT/DIG.

The Top Half

TSM against FLY is a great spot to play, but I am not sure that the match will be as bloody as some of the other options.  TSM might not win 2 straight which would take away from the 2-0 bonus.  This makes paying top dollar for TSM harder than some of the other top teams.  It is still TSM and they have shown that they can put up some big scores.  FLY has been playing well, but still not top quality.

C9 is always a team I like to play.  They are only 8-6 for this split and are fighting with a lot of teams for the top 4 spots.  I do not think they will rest against TL, as C9 really needs this win.  Should be a good match as TL is also fighting to not be in the bottom 3.

CLG is in the hunt for first place with TSM and IMT.  Envy is in the same fight as C9. This match screams bloody to me.  I have 2 lineups going into this weekend. One that focuses around CLG and one that uses some CLG with my other team stack.  I expect this match to be a top scoring match.

IMT faces DIG who after a small struggle have pulled themselves into the fight with C9 and nV.  IMT is still working to prove they are the top dog of NA LCS.  I love that IMT is coming in so low at price, and maybe you can figure out who my full stack is.

Overall CLG and IMT are my favorites from this list, and TSM/C9 are both usable

The Bottom Half

DIG is probably a great team to take a chance on.  They are not super cheap but they do give you some room.  IMT is my favorite play, but I will admit that DIG could put up a nice score.

Envy has been playing well also but I am liking the CLG I have been watching.  I think this match could easily go bloody though and as long as nV can get in on the killing they could pull a nice value even with the loss.

Team Liquid is not the worst team in LCS right now, but they are right there with a few other teams.  I will say that TL is the value team that could be a risk, but could carry some great upside.  I actually do not mind picking against C9 and using a splash of TL could give some great options building.

FLY is not a team you would normally want to pick.  I honestly do not think I would pick them if building less than 10 lineups.  They just do not have a favorable match up or have played well enough to risk my money.

That’s A Wrap

Overall this is a slate where you can really build if you pick a single cheap value play and go to town with so many great options.  I normally only play one line up a slate, but there were just 2 builds that I really liked.  If you are looking for a slate where you could build and ME this is my favorite this split.
