Kickin it on the Pitch w/ TreyJ – EPL DFS – 5/5/17

The season is winding down.  Let’s finish strong.  No more waiting.  Let’s get right to it.

Hull v Sunderland

This week we are going to start with Hull because we don’t get many chances to fully investigate this squad.  Normally, we get a chance for one-offs but we have a prime opportunity to get deep with them.  I am off the sunderland completely.  They have loads of work to do and they have already been relegated.  Hull is only 2 points clear of the relegation zone and will need to take advantage of their situation today.  I believe you will have the opportunity to build through this team however you wish.  The big name targets will be Grosicki, Markovic, Clucas, and Niasse.

Leicester City v Watford

While watford has struggled with their road form, I do think there could be some value that I will get to much later.  That’s a major league teaser right there.  As for Leicester, it starts with Jamie Vardy.  This guy won’t stop scoring.  I will likely play him from now until the end of the season.  He is one of 2 strikers on the slate I consider cash safe, if any of you actually play cash.  He also qualifies for chalk watch.

Elsewhere, we find that despite the finish, Riyad Mahrez is turning out some solid production.  Many don’t like to pay up for him on fanduel due to his lack of scoring touch for his price, but the number of shots he turns out makes him a solid DK play. You could put Marc Albrighton in that camp, too.  On the Fanduel side, Wilfried Ndidi will probably be quite popular.

Swansea City v Everton

What a game to end the slate on.  As far as excitement goes, this should have plenty.  Swansea sits in 18th place in the table, 2 points behind Hull.  Swansea will be gunning for this one.  They need 3 points and I love the hungry team.  The late game has still brought lower ownership on fanduel than I would have anticipated, what with the addition of late swap and all.  This week if people want late then they will be on Lukaku and Sigurdsson.  I like Sigurdsson and don’t mind Lukaku.  I also want to have shares of Fernando Llorente and I don’t mind using them both together.  Everton has been vulnerable to strong strikers, while on the road.

On the flip side, if I wanted someone other than Lukaku, I might look towards Kevin Mirallas or their defensive unit. I like Leighton Baines for his crosses on DK and I like the centerbacks on Fanduel.

Between the Sticks

  1. Ben Foster – Bournemouth takes a lot of shots and puts a high percentage on target.  He should be busy.
  1. Kasper Schmeichel – Leicester gives up a lot of shots in the box and allows few goals.
  1. Heurelho Gomes – Leicester takes a lot of shots, puts them on frame.  Remember that value I spoke of earlier?  He might give up 2 goals but could see enough shots to make a solid play anyways.
