The following are my week 16 player picks and notes for both Fanduel and Draftkings. This list is meant to be comprehensive and includes every player on the slate that I am considering using in my lineups. Green highlights indicate chalky plays I feel everyone will be on this week. Use those in cash, hybrid and GPP lineups. I’m leaving in Red highlights to indicate plays I consider GPP only. That’s a warning to avoid those players in your cash and hybrid lineups. I’ve also left in some orange shading for players I consider punts. Punts are higher risk players that are in good spots with very cheap salaries. We generally need a couple of punts to fit studs. Week 16 Notes:
I specifically used the Saturday only slate in my picks list. I’ll be posting thoughts in slack regarding the smaller 3 game slate running Sunday-Monday.
This week marks the first time in a while that David Johnson and LeVeon Bell aren’t sitting on top of the chalk play list. We also have a wide swath of teams in good spots with sky-high projections. The chalky stacks revolve around those high projected games. Brees-Thomas-Cooks, Luck-Hilton, Carr-Cooper-Crab, Rodgers-Adams, Brady, Cam-Olsen. There are plenty to choose from. At RB the highest ownership will probably be McCoy. There’s so much WR value this week that it’s not hard to afford McCoy and still build a solid lineup. My top WR play this week is DeAndre Hopkins. It’s risky but I’m banking on Savage being at least competent compared to Brock. Last week Hopkins was targeted like in was 2015. Hopefully, we can get a stud for cheap money. Another throwback to 2015 is Allen Robinson. A-Rob’s salary has plummeted to sub-scrub levels and his matchup this week pits him against the team that allows the most points of any to the WR position.
